What did u do to your raptor today?

Rebuilt the front shocks. Probably less than 50k and not too much offraoding. Oil was pretty dirty and i was at 153 and 170psi so all in all not too bad. FYI, don’t buy cheap extensions. Snapped mine trying to loosen the lower shock bolt

I have been telling guys if they want to do the swap themselves, they can use my garage and tools. i have jacks and stands and all the tools to remove the shocks as well as tools to remove the springs. If you're mechanical and willing to do the work i can assist you in the swap. Its generally...

    Gen 1 suspension overhaul

I’ve seen him drive. He drove the $hit out of a stock truck. Convinced me i don’t need any of the aftermarket stuff that’s out there. Maybe if you’re running the dunes or whoops but for the high speed Wyoming roads and the fore roads around here, stock works for me

    Gen 1 suspension overhaul

Deavers were one of the best upgrades i made. I'm stock except for Geisers on mid and Rogue tie rods. Looking back i would have saved the money on tie rods as they don't give any performance value except they look cool. I've heard the on-road ride with the 3.0s is a lot worse than stock but...

    Steering Rack Rebuild Advice Needed

Has anyone rebuilt their OEM steering racks? I saw @BenBB post about replacing but i was wondering if its worth keeping the OEM rack and just replacing the seals. Rock Auto looks to have a seal kit for $50 and keeping the OEM rack seems like a good deal to me unless there's a big chance of...

    3rd Brake Light Gen 2/3

Fair enough. These lights are coated by a local professional company and I’ve used in the past and had great results. I’d expect these to last a long time

    3rd Brake Light Gen 2/3

They are powder coated so that’s going to be one of the most durable finishes you can get. If you’re really concerned with UV protection you could mask off the brake LEDs and spray it with a clear UV coating if you want.

    Removal of front shocks?

I do exactly what you said, however i disconnect the sway bar so you can push the LCA down far enough to get the shock out. I've found that you don't need to remove the caliper but do remove the 10mm bolt that holds the line on the spindle. The spindle won't move far enough to stress the lines...

Gen1 upper control arm ball joint question

I've had Moog Lower Ball Joints on my truck for several years now and so far no issues. From what I've heard and seen the UCA's are one of the lightest loaded parts in our front suspension so I'd be fine using Moog or some other brand especially at 1/3 the cost.

    3rd Brake Light Camera

I'm wondering if someone can tell me or do an experiment with the 3rd brake light camera. I'm curious what happens if you cover the camera with black tape or unplug it. Does the truck throw errors or do anything weird? Is it just a bed camera or is it tied into the 360 camera or back up...

    Anyone rebuilt Gen 2 shocks

Ohhh yeah. Forgot about that Spanner wrench on the left is for removing the bypass tube on the front shock. Next is the reverse opening pliers that i had to modify to get the rear IFP out. Next is the threaded tool i made to remove the rear IFP reservoir cap. Last is the smaller spanner to get...

What did u do to your raptor today?

Greased my Tie Rod bushings where they press into the spindles. Took all the squeaking away. Also found some tie rod boots that actually fit our racks. It’s the Amazon special so we’ll see how long they last, but at least it’s a tight fit. Just have to cut a little off each end to get the...
