I guess that depends on the level of protection you are looking for. I just give my shocks and leaf springs a coating, not the full undercarriage/frame but there are just as many guys that do the whole works.
I would imagine it would not take more than an hour to spray the full undercarriage, maybe 1.5 hours max. I recall when I did it last winter, I gave it a spray then came back to hit any spots I missed the first time.
This year I am doing a combo and will use the Fluid Film on the Fox 3.0s and...
I'm leaning toward Amsoil, beside the red tint, is there anything or anywhere I can't spray? Stay away from painted surfaces as it's petroleum based.
Do you spray on just like you would when you paint something w a can of aerosol paint? Yes
Do you need to cover anywhere else on the vehicle or...
I've seen a lot of threads recently having a common theme of how to protect your suspension/undercarriage in the winter. I live in IL 30 miles south of Wisconsin, so I'm know what nasty and salty winters can do to a Raptor. With the winter around the corner, I figured I would share my...

You should not let this issue deter your consideration. As other have said and are right a good spray with Fluid Film or Amsoil HD will take care of most of the rust. I have Deavers and had them powder coated and CoronaRaptor is right, it's just breaking off due to the flexing. The fact is the...
Blue is such a great color. Love it on Raptors. I have another blue car in the garage and wanted to mix it up with the Leadfoot, which is also a great color and changes tone depending on the light. Good luck on the Gen 1 and yes those wheels are hideous.
Unless they have recently changed there process, Deavers do not come powder coated, Icon's do. A Midwest salt winter destroys these. Call both companies to confirm and go with the one that offers it. Don't waste the $$ to have them power coated after the fact, they need to disassemble, paint and...
Glad you had a great time and got to play in your Raptor.
As an FYI, that flag is basically useless. It's way to short and should be mounted in the front of your truck.
