I’d hate to have to use this to tow anything for a few hours. Also, IRS sucks for when the trail gets rocky. With the way electric vehicles are depreciating, Id rather not spend that sorta upgrade cash which would be wasted on resale.
I also live in the land of relatively cheap gas.
I wonder if they landed nose down or pretty flat. I would imagine with the transfer case locked and the front and back axles tied together a nose first landing suddenly changing wheel speed to one differential which then would have to force the rear to sync with same wheel speed could break...
Yup, I went about 5 full turns and now both sets of fogs end about 7-10 feet before the end of the low beams. They actually aren't that bad....nearly as good as the 1st generation SAE BD fogs I had. Certainly no off road lights, but more useful than they were.
Yeah my main curiosity is if any of these were covered under warranty. I wouldn't be so sure especially if they get the slightest whiff that it happened offroad. My broken diff sure wasn't.
Obviously Ford running the Baja 1000 isn't going to a dealer begging to have their diff covered, but...
IMO if you're going with the last generation of vehicle...Id always get the last year model (2020). Buying used can be a bit of a gamble, might as well worry about fewer issues from the factory.
I can't tell if mine come on but the heated seat light doesn't light up till I hit the start button or if they aren't coming on at all with remote start. I generally don't remote start and let it sit for 5+ mins so the seats aren't warmed up yet anyway.
Yeah definitely wasn't talking about bringing it in for something not legitimately wrong. I also said I understand why the diagnostic fee exists. But...especially back in the parts shortage days it was far too easy to just say nope not covered. Also putting a truck on a lift and seeing a...
The worst part of it is the diagnostic fee. If you take it in there with what you think is a warranty repair, and they just say nah, it isn’t because of XYZ. You’re out the 150 bucks and a wasted day. I get why the diagnostic fee exists, but be damn sure it’s under warranty first. Having a...
Tie rods if you only had room for one type of part are definitely the way to go. Anything else that could break would either be too large, too rare to actually happen, too expensive, or too difficult to change on the trail anyway. Also it’s one of the only parts that could leave you completely...
I’ve had previous cars and have currently 1 car with HUD. It’s cool, but I’ve never been like damn i need this in the raptor. For high speed off-road it might be pretty nice, but for normal road driving in a pickup truck….idk
Also I only wear polarized sunglasses and those can completely...
Yeah my eyes suck and even at .6 miles at 80 mph thats 27 seconds of reaction time/data. So basically what you’re saying is, two LP9 combo pros is all any of these trucks need period. I would do spots, but there are deer around here.
