Ive got a local one called white water car wash, it fits the Raptor. It does a decent day to day job, and they have free towels, compressed air, and vacuums. I’m sure it’s not the best on the paint, but Avalanche is pretty forgiving.
If you’re having a hard time justifying the cost of a R. Buy a 23-24 35 then take the extra money you’d spend on the R and buy a gen Juan. Best of both worlds. MPG for DD and a gen Juan to raise V8 hell in. Part of the reason I can’t justify it, I could buy two Raptors for the price of a R.
Yeah the F12 would be irritating AF putting around town behind Nissan rogues and what not. I bet there were some fun late nights on an open road though!!!!
After quite a lot of Colorado and western US miles under my belt using NA engines. When I got my first turbo vehicle (2nd gen raptor) I...
There is a v8 …. Raptor R. The “manual forever” guys are no different. Carry on and then not end up buying that vehicle anyway. I’d buy the ecoboost 7 days a week over a slower, altitude effected, worse MPG vehicle. If i was 16 I would want the v8 for the sound, but Ive grown up. Ive got a...
Ford knows what they are doing. All this 5.0 nonsense is no different than manufactures offering a manual after the outcry of the car only being offered with an auto and then only 5% of sales are a manual. After my experiences at 10K feet, I’d never run a NA truck again.
Heated steering wheel, cup holder ambient lighting, Temp display on the knobs, and the one I love is removal of auto start stop. Some of these might have been deleted for not just the 2023. One thing that got removed going from 2020 to 2023 is the +/- button on the shifter to limit gears...
Other than fuel economy, brakes are next in line for YMMV. Some people use brakes in the mountains, some use more gears. Some tow a trailer without brakes, some turn the gain way up. City/HWY, the variables go on and on.
Yeah exactly what I said. The poorest performing Z06 on steel rotors was running pilot super sports….the rest with carbon ceramics are running Cup 2s. Can’t compare 2 variables like that especially that difference in tires. They also didn’t mention if the cup 2s had a badass OE specific compound.
None of these setups are supposed to interfere with adaptive cruise or adaptive braking are they? Does the adaptive cruise feel more abrupt when slowing causing the truck to then accelerate because an unexpected bit of extra speed was scrubbed off? I've never fooled around with brakes on...
I may have my C7 packages (or they may have changes through the years) wrong, but didn't the Carbon brakes only come on the Z07 package which also included pilot sport cup 2 tires. The iron brake non-Z07 Z06s came with pilot super sports. If there is any tire difference like that going on I'm...
The pavement surface also matters a lot. If car and driver is doing 60-0 tests is that on a prepped surface or dusty broken pavement? A firmer pedal and pads with good initial bite sure do feel good though.
The biggest issue I see with the ranger is the 33" tires. Sure the dimensions lead to probably similar approach, depart, break over, but not ground clearance or sidewall thickness.
XL80s from the driver seat in the rain. They do block visibility but not near as much as you’d think. The combo beams do hit the hood which isn’t great, but they do put out a lot of light.
In heavy dust the xl80s on the pillars are useless. It really depends on the use case.
There won't be trucks marked below MSRP at a significant enough amount that would make up for travel or delivery costs (not including the time value of money dealing with that hassle). Sure someone always has a story about how they "stole" a Raptor, but the exception to the rule often proves...
