Fair enough.
I don't have access to Ford eCat. I have access to a program/website called repairlink. It is an OEM catalog for all makes. It then automatically links to my local dealer(s).
Looking up phasers for a 2019 It brings up both part numbers, when I have called the dealer to...
ML3Z-6C525-A AND ML3Z-6256-A are the newest and retail for $170 and $88.33 respectively.
HL3Z-6C525-CD AND HL3Z-6256-CD are the previous numbers. And are $56.50 each. I believe the warehouses are out of these now. But still a bunch around in dealer inventory. Again one of my dealers has...
part number HL2Z6C590A is a Cam Phaser INSTALLATION kit. it contains:
Cam phaser bolts (torque to yield one time use)
crank seal
oil filter
water pump gasket
water pump bypass tube seal
intake manifold gaskets
crankshaft bolt
2 "cam timing assembly engine variable" (assume this is Phasers...
Beings that a sway bar is basically a torsion spring then the load those little sway bar links are under, surprises me they do not fold in half on the average utah asphalt road, let alone a good off road trail. Just saying most links are pretty small for what they are actually doing.
There are two different red loctite formulas. One is high strength, the other is high HEAT.
Use the loctite it came with. As someone who does about a dozen or more brake jobs a week caliper mounting bolt work loose a lot. We find missing caliper bolts a couple times a month. And a caliper...
You are joking right. I replace sway bar end links on 5-8 vehicles a week for "rattle noise over bumps ". Honda to Volkswagen, Ram to Maserati. It does NOT matter.
Congratulations!! Becoming an empty nester (if you are not, you are one step closer). Is my greatest accomplishment, no other animal on this planet is okay with their children living at home until middle age,(or beyond) except an USA liberal.
Cam phasers rattle at start up after sitting 6 plus hours. This is because below 1200rpm the lock pin is supposed to engage and lock the 2 pieces of the cam phaser together making it one piece.
Over time the cam phaser will drain of its oil.
At shut off the phaser is supposed to lock and at...
I just install those same plugs a couple weeks ago.
The "bump/extension " is the piece of ruthenuiem welded to the ground conductor. The ground conductor is cut back to try and unshield the spark/flame kernel, to promote a more even burn. This is an OLD hotrodder trick good for 5-10 hp 50...
First let me say. Thankfully everyone is okay and I am happy for you for that.
As far as the Raptor, are you in love with the truck? I get attached to vehicles because the are memories to me. If you can move on mentally then I would, if you can't like myself then fix that truck and make...
A lot of good that Grease fitting on the Taco did. That U-joint is wasted. Bet it has never been greased in the first place.
I would be curious if that is an OEM ujoint.
Ford, GM, Chrysler and pretty much every manufacturer I can think of hasn't had greasable ujoints, tie rod ends, or ball...
I will add, if you look at your pinon/pinion seal AND the fill level plug. The fill level is actually just a hair BELOW the pinion seal.
The pinion seal is not designed to hold back a FLOOD of gear oil but just a small amount/splash.
Same as a rear main seal on an engine.
Given that fact...
