Even the Gigapress has limits.

I don't think you are being argumentative. An non-HO will bolt up to the truck and run, there is no doubt about that. I am just not sure why you would want to.
But alas the crankshaft issue.
I could be wrong, but having held a non-HO piston in my hand it appeared to be cast not forged where...
Where you living in a cave from mid-2021 to mid 2023?
It is easy (and I am not saying you are wrong) to sit back and judge.
I'll tell you the story I know of the 2.7 ecoboost oil pan.
the Gen 1 2.7 is 2015-2017, slight changes made in Gen2 which is 2018+.
I had a 2.7 in my shop that needed...
That is not really true. There was a huge stock pile of phasers AND with the Covid shortages FORD was forced to use them.
In the past when I did work at a dealer and parts were revised/updated the old part numbers would be sent back up the supply chain in what I always assumed to be disposed...
The updated/redesigned phasers went into production vehicles built on and after December 1st 2019. I just did phasers on a 2020 but November 20th 2019 and it had the original design, failed at 88k.
Since model year change is normally in September that make about 2 1/2 months of production...
To anyone reading this he is 100% correct the thinner (which comes from heat) the fluids become (doesn't matter if is oil, coolant, transmission fluid or gear oil) the more HP you will get to the ground.
We are talking 5-7 hp.
The engine temp should definitely approach if not exceed slightly...
No you are not confusing the issues. All I asked was what about the tune made it more likely to happen. "Harder launch uncovers the oil pickup easier" is all I needed.
From the factory the HO is rated 70 more HP and 40 more ftlbs of torque in a GEN 2 Hence the HO name.
2021+ the base 3.5 got a 25 hp and 30 ftlbs of torque up grade. To 400 hp 500 ftlbs
2021 + HO is a carry over from 2017+ HO. Rated at 450 and 510
The crankshaft is some how different as...
Holy shit, take a deep ******* breath. No one including me called you a liar. I asked what about just having a tune caused the ingestion of air.
You in fact prove with your data that the tune is not the cause per-se.
The tune allows a harder launch which causes more G force which causes the...
Not to doubt you, wondering how just a tune matters, or does the tune then allow the truck to be driven more aggressively which causes the oil pump to suck air.
Reminds me of the first rear wheel drive overdrive transmissions Ford built. If you drove over 95 mph for more than a couple miles...
That isn't entirely true. Watch the video series from Banks on the rear diff covers. (I understand it is diff cover not trans, just that more fluid can run hotter given how it is moved about)
Not saying you are totally wrong, just that maybe there is a gray area in the middle.
That pan will not fit with the stock skid plate and probably not with aftermarket skid plates. That pan is made for a truck that doesn't do any off roading.
To each there own, and I have heard that a 100 times. But I have been doing this for 35 years and have seen 1000's of transmissions torn down and I have yet to see one that was damaged due to the fluid running to cool.
Pretty much everyone was cooked/overheated.
I ain't quite to the point of...
Meh, the flow rate of the on board compressors is not enough to over power a 1/4 in air line.
Make no mistake you are correct on flow. But when my air compressor at work has 4 pistons each 3 inches in diameter and flows about 21cfm without an air tank (75 gallons) and these little on board...
Been there done that. Even the twin compressor takes minutes per tire. Look on YouTube quite a few videos showing the time.
I switched to CO2 years ago, before I even owned a Raptor.
Just last weekend, pulled over after 276 miles off road. Aired up all 4 tires from 22 to 35 and back on...
I will see if I can find my post. I get tired of reposting it. So I will sum it up.
Been mechanic since 1986, today right now I am doing more internal engine repairs that I have ever done. In the 1980's / 90's we did a shit ton of oil leaks. Gaskets and such but honestly internal engines...
That's funny shit right there, only because I know the feeling, just not enough time in the day most days.
I got braided steel brake lines to install. I just look at them and think, maybe tomorrow. Mostly because I have PTSD from my first ever brake job back in 1985. Ugh, what a nightmare.
I believe the truck isn't wired for lights operation in neutral tow. So the wiring connection from the tow vehicle to the truck is customers responsibly. It wouldn't take more than 10 minutes to wire the charging circuit from the tow vehicle directly to the battery.
This isn't a Ford...
