"Needed" is the key word. No, it's not needed, and it's always subjective. There's no way to replicate a full system overhaul with just a speaker swap. With an 800a, at least it's easier for you.
However, if you just want to try a speaker upgrade first, I'd try some 6x9 components from...
It depends on the tuner used...Ford has the bad/muddy one. Daimler-Chrysler/Audi, etc have the good one. It is very annoying if you are trying to upgrade your audio and a primary source sounds like complete crap. Is anyone streaming Sirius from their phone and if so is the quality better? I...
Thanks for the replies. Like I said, a simple aux jack would have been fine for me. I'm due for an iPhone upgrade, and will make sure I get a higher capacity than my last so that I can keep most/all of my music on there and either use BT or Carplay.
What are y'all using to play music files locally through?
I realize I am a luddite to some degree now, but I still like my music on my iPod, yet Sync3 gags on mine for anything other than playlists due to indexing issues. Even then, it's off by one letter, so I have to think of where the...
To preserve power, I would think intercooler...stock unit small, can see real gains with upgrade. I would wait on the radiator to see how temps are in actual use. Remember, intercooler is just cooling air from turbos to give a better/more dense charge, radiator cooling coolant for engine.
So, I've conceded, to a degree. Taking truck today to dealership for them to re-measure tires, get "new" warranty appraisal so they can put tires on. Just not worth the back-and-forth to try and make two disparate parts of Michelin/BFG work together. Not happy about it at all, but want to get...
I'm not going to debate that your/the full system re-do is better; it is. But a good, efficient speaker upgrade does make a noticeable improvement for a lot less money. I think the stock tweeters are OK, but the paper cone 6x9s are complete crap. A decent set of components will markedly improve...
The strange thing about mine is that I run them at 37psi, rotated every service, and they look more worn in the center than the edges, like they were ballooning.
Now I am fighting with BFG, or rather BFG is fighting with itself. Customer reps say I can go to any authorized Michelin/BFG dealer...
My OEM BFG KO2s are at 1-2/32" (basically bald) at 28K miles, and have been generally unsafe in the wet and useless offroad for the last 3-4K miles. As most know, the C load rated KO2s for the Raptor were made to run softer, and allegedly had a different compound than the other KO2s. I think the...
I have a small trailer I use for for 4wheeler/golf cart, so I measured it when I got the truck, and got a 4" drop that is just about perfect. However, if I had a bigger or multiple trailers, I would definitely spend the $ for a good adjustable hitch.
I got this one from Amazon...very pleased with it. Black and orange even matched the accent/seat package:

Yep. The lack of candor/represented experience is very concerning. As I said above, the biggest service department in the state is at another dealer, but they are 6-8 weeks for an appointment for anything other than basic service/oil change.
I run pressures just under this (as was suggested by the instructors at Raptor Assault), and my OE KO2s are wearing at the center a good bit more than the edges. I am at 25k and will be lucky to get another 4-5k out of them, especially if I expect any off road traction/don't want to be on water...
Thank you...will do.
If you or anyone else knows, what is the timetable from when this issue starts occurring to when there is real damage done/potentially done to the engine? My other option for service is a dealer which has the largest fleet service program in the state, and they are a 6-8...
They had my truck for a week and said they tested it against a new one and it sounded the same. I videoed it the first morning I had it back and the next three making the telltale rattle at startup, and have sent those videos along with these threads to the dealer. It's disappointing, because...
