I know you're one of the good ones, but there are too many techs/dealers that have no idea WTF they are doing. I took my 2018 truck in with what was a IWE check valve issue 4 different times, and was told there was nothing wrong/they could not replicate it. Folks on here told me what it was, and...
I'm sure you are, and I appreciate your posts in the cam phaser thread, etc. But you also clearly misread my post wherein I was talking about my 2018. And my wife's '19 Expedition is making the exact same noise my Raptor is. I'm not happy about either.
I was referring to my current 2018 having the issue, and needing to be cracked open to have it fixed. Also, my wife's 2019 Expedition, which isn't supposed to have the problem, now does. I certainly hope Ford can figure it out by the time the 2021s roll out.
Probably both on payment/interest, but I run it through my business so it's not a huge deal either way. I'm not happy about having mine cracked open for the cam phasers, and I don't think we'll get a new Raptor to go with the 2021 F150 launch. That's a good point on the Limited's depreciation.
I mean, that's a big part of it. My family has a farm where I hunt, and I go out there a good bit. I don't think I'd do 95mph down a fire road in the Limited like I do in the Raptor (on occasion), or put it in Baja and rip around. I had a 1794 Tundra before, and I could do most stuff I wanted in...
Having them, waiting on parts for the fix. They were supposed to be ordered right before the virus stuff started, so not sure where it stands.
I would like to at least test drive a Limited, and a '19/20 Raptor to see how different the new suspension is.
That's part of the deal...the Limited is more of a stealth bomber/Qship. The Raptor stands out, both good and bad. I get tired of every Donnie with an intake and exhaust trying to race me. Where I am in SC, I see more and more Raptors. I do love it, though. And I do go offroad a decent amount...
Considering trading my '18 Raptor for a '19-20 Limited for a few reasons. First, 0% on the Limited. This makes no sense, as it's more expensive than the Raptor, but it's true. Also, the Limited now has the Raptor HO engine, which is even more potent in a lighter/smaller truck. There are also...
The double honk, and it's not close. Have it happen when you or someone else close a door as you're trying to sneak into a hunting spot. Whoever came up with that should be shot.
I know that, thanks...didn't mean to imply that. I'm picking it up tomorrow. The "nuts" was in reference to the fact that this problem has been going on for a long period of time and still there appears to be a parts shortage to address it. Is there one guy with a press somewhere who missed the...
My 2018 is in the shop at a better dealer now (prior one denied they had ever heard of cam phaser issues), other work being done. They confirmed cam phaser issue, say parts are one month out on backorder. This is nuts.
256kbps is decent. I try to rip at at least that or 320kbps from iTunes. 128 is about the minimum, but some playback software can even make those sound decent. FLAC files will be lossless/uncompressed, so better but also much bigger files.
My sister and I had a '69 Chevelle Malibu convertible in HS during the mi-late 80s, and we would go to yard sales/thrift shops looking for working 8 tracks...was hard even then. Among those we had were Sticky Fingers, Steve Miller Band Greatest Hits, and Buffett's White Sportcoat and a Pink...
My truck just killed a Sandisk 64gb that I used to work around the fact that Sync cannot index my iPod...too large/too many files. Too many files on the USB? Same problem.
AN AUX JACK ALLOWS THE CUSTOMER TO PLAY FROM ANY EXTERNAL AUDIO SOURCE HE OR SHE WANTS AND COSTS $2 FOR A MFG.
Or, do...
Bought this when I got my 2018...very pleased. Black/orange even matched my interior accent pkg. $33.

I have the 802a/B&O Play, so most of my research/knowledge pertains to that.
I would most certainly defer to Dom (dhmcfadin) in this thread/above, and Noah, here:

These guys know what they are talking about.
If you push the Sync button/icon while in Carplay, it exits to a version of Sync that allows some sync controls/features, but not all. I still think Siri overrides the voice commands, but I haven't tried it in a while.
I've had it in an Audi, in my wife's Mercedes, and a Chrysler 200 rental car when I went to Raptor Assault, and those tuners are different/better. It goes back to who had deals with Sirius/XM originally.
