Same FoMoCo crap. Again, it really irritates me that they sell this as a "B&O Play" system, with B&O on the speaker cover, when it's really just a system tuned by B&O that doesn't even have a single B&O speaker in it (maybe the white driver/surround in the sub is). How much more would it have...
You may want to be careful with the "most people"...if he just wants to do a plug-and-play speaker swap, these are fine, and should go in with minimal effort. These are the mid-level Focals that are designed for stock replacements, while keeping stock headunit/amp. If he wants to do a full...
No, to my knowledge only the 2017 and 2018 speaker pics have been posted here. I would like to see the 2019s, as well. Count me with Guy in the camp that says they're the same FoMoCo paper ones. I'd be happy to be wrong, though, as there's no reason other than avarice to not have some upgrade...
I do wish they had more than one color option. I like my orange accent interior quite a bit more than I even thought I would...breaks up the black/grey monotony nicely, IMO.
The a-pillar tweeters I think are 3/4", most folks go back with 3/4" or 1"
The footwell mid-bass drivers are 6x9"
The center is a single driver 3.5"
The rears are 6.5" coaxials
The sub-driver in the B&O is 8"
None of the speakers/drivers are from B&O/Harman, just FoMoCo paper cone parts bin...
SIAP, but this was in an AutoWeek review, for those concerned about the dimensions of the Recaros in the '19:
"With a focus on rough terrain, bolstered Recaro buckets probably aren’t on the top of your dream rig’s parts list. But they should be. The new Recaro seats in the ’19 Raptor have a...
Mine did that, it does it less over time. Make sure you occasionally push the seat belt receiver back a bit, too. I thought I just needed to lose some weight...lol.
For the interior, the best trick I've learned is to use Swiffer dry pads between details...pick up dust, etc from all surfaces, and lock it in the pad with no cleaner residue, etc. I keep several in a ziploc bag in the console.
It's really one day, but they want you to come do a check-in/reception dinner the night before. It is not mandatory. The food is not great, but the main reason to do it, IMO, is to find your riding partner for the next day (if you come solo) so you don't get stuck with a turd. From the FAQ on...
I know you know more about this stuff than I do, but you just gave the same advice I did. I chose the JBLs for my speakers only upgrade because they are very efficient...high sensitivity and they have a 2ohm impedance, so they can be driven easily by the stock amp. In fact, they are designed...
You may want to do a search/look though some of the custom thread on the first few pages of this sub-forum...several guys have done Focals, but none (that I know of) without doing a bypass of the stock amp/DSP, adding a new DSP, and amping the system. I just don't think it would be worth it to...
I have the stubby .50 cal antenna...it works fine...stations that are weak fade a bit sooner than before, but not a big issue. The stocker was banging the hell out of my garage, so it had to go.
