I saw the unveiling...I thought they were making a "road going" version for people to by. $300k halo car for the rich does not make them a king. I was expecting something in the $100k region like a Z06
No. Like I said. My Final Cut skills are not that great. The switching back and forth between from and back are not in sync. By that time he had already moved right 2 lanes and came back to the lane on my right. No place for me to go.
Uh no. I was blocked by the Honda in front of me. I was trying to go 90 the Honda 60. When it moved right I sped up to pass it and go back to my speed of 80. By that time jack ass already moved right two lanes to pass. If I would have moved righ he would have hit me. Watch the tape again.
Final update.
Gates Ford in Richmond Kentucky is awesome. They got my truck ready in time for me to roll through Friday night, 7 days after it broke. Truck performed flawlessly on the 400 mile drive home to STL.
Service advisor (Victoria) went above and beyond to communicate with me every...
So far. The dealer is being super nice and communicating. Confirmed it’s covered under warranty. Transfer case on order. Hope to have it in and fixed Thursday or Friday. I will need it by Friday at 8pm if possible.
The garage queen pulled a hammy.
No idea. I’ve been “off road” 3x for maybe 20 miles in 4.5 years and 52,000 miles.
Occasional 4wd in snow. The truck gets pampered.
Just got the call from the dealer. They say the transfer case is damaged internally. 3 days out on parts. They have 5. So we will see. More updates when I get them.
Truck still under 5 year 60,000 mile power train warranty. So I am good there.
Ford roadside did not charge me for the ride. This happened right after we dropped my daughter at college. So her vw GTI was 10 miles away. Got an Uber to it at 1am.
Crammed a trucks worth of vacation luggage...
On a road trip. Stopped for gas at 400 miles of 1000. Getting back on highway. Herd a pop. Lost all gears. Coasted to the shoulder. No revers. No park.
It’s 11:30 on Friday. I have my family and all our luggae for a weeks vacation.
Wtf am I gonna do.
Ford roadside is getting me...
I have found on my 18 raptor, 75mph is the magic number. set the cruise under 75mph and expect 16-18mpg. as soon as I go above 76mph, it needs boost and gas, mpg drop to to 15-13.
if everything is sorted with the 2018...I'd keep it. Not enough difference to justify in my book. Never had I ever had a situation where a 2020 would do better at something then my 2018.
I have done a couple 2,400 mile road trips in my 2018..... if I set the cruise at 75, it can squeeze 18mpg. anything over 75mph, the boost and fuel kick in and mpg drops to 13mpg.
Getting ready to do another 2,400 mile road trip STL to Orlando. Want to take our sedan and enjoy 31mpg, but the...
yeah...we fly all the time....this time my daughter is going "back to school" in Richmond Kentucky.
So we are taking her back to school on a Friday, dropping her stuff off, and her car, then doing a last minute family vacation for a week. So we needed the car / truck.
$1600 for a family of 4...
We have a new Audi A6, with almost 400 hp, and 32mpg on the highway. Wife and 2 kids (22, and 16) want to take the Raptor.
I want to take the Audi, as the guy doing 90% of the driving STL to Orlando, it is so much better. Add to that, $400 cheaper in fuel costs.
But they want the extra room...
yeah...I think you will get more value returning it to stock and sell off components.
When I buy I used car I dont want any mods. A car that has been modded...to me .....means it has been beaten on. not driven by a 60 year old lady.
at worst, dont expect to get "extra" sale price from your mods.
