mine is you 7 out of 10 times.
The three where it fails, i just unplug the usb and close any open apps on my iPhone and it starts up properly. same whether i am in my Raptor or the Explorer
55% and 70% on the front seem way to light to me. I know most states the limit is around 35%...but 20% has not caused me any issues at all, and again...matches the rears.
the speakers are NOT the weak link in the B&O system. The factory amp is. When I was doing my full system upgrade, I actually ran the factory speakers with my aftermarket amp for a day, and they didnt sound bad. Handled the power fine.
If you replace the factory speakers it will be very...
for the record....i did not do any sound deadening at all. I did my stereo 18 months ago, and didnt want the weight of smell of the dynamat sound deadening. IT is a truck, not a rolls. full of hard plastics and such. thats where the extra power and better speakers come in to overpower any...
No....you remove it. essentially, the ZEN A2B replaces the factory amp. it is what allows your truck, to talk to your audio system. you will retain your phone, nav voice prompts, warning chimes, back up sensors......but not have the shitty B&O dsp.
You will have the holy grail of factory...
yep..lose the center speaker. totally not needed.
If your shop is not using The ZEN A2B device ($450) as part of your build, run away. You can't use high level input. @dhmcfadin is 100% correct and he, and I and others have tried many times to educate people on this board.
The B&O systems...
My plan is to just bite the bullet and buy new OEM (blue) Fox Shocks. I dont remember exactly, but I think your all in price is around $2500 before labor.
The rears can be done by yourself. Front are a little more involved dealing with a spring compressor.
I am sitting at 35,xxx miles and...
COVID has made EVERYTHING take for ever. Even toilette paper. With a mass produced machine, you are bound to get a failure in a small sample size. just sucks that by bad luck of the draw, you were the winner. Completely random.
Relax, let the techs do their job. Accept the new motor and...
Find another dealer.
Loaner cars are at the choice of the dealer, Ford has no say in the matter.
Some larger dealers will offer loaners as an incentive to buy from them, most do not. It is a Ford, not an Audi. You get what you pay for. The reason an Q7 is $70k and an Explorer is $45k in...
nice....i have been off roading in that area...lots of high speed rock roads and trails. My wifes family is all in NW arkansas so I am there 4-5 times a year. Just not this time...ill be in colorado.
Looks like fun.
the "fix" was applied to all new Raptors with build dates July 2018 and on. Check the sticker in the drivers door for the build date. Before July 2018 build dat may have issues, most do not. August on to present day have the updated parts and you shouldn't worry.
I have said this before. I have owned 4 3.5 eb since 2013 and my brother in law has one. 5 motors with over 300,000 miles of experience, and I can tell you, there is nothing wrong with the 3.5 EB.
