Do you by chance know how do you triage/debug a potential door harness issue given it's all CANBUS now? Do I need a special tool or cable/software to plug into a laptop? I'm an engineer and could easily do this myself if I knew how to troubleshoot the bus.
FWIW, this is a 2018 base model raptor. Here's a full list of the issues I'm aware of:
Driver's side controls can only roll down/up the rear windows (mirrors, locks, front window controls, etc do not work)
The key FOB does nothing. No remote start, no unlock/lock, etc
Heat/AC controls do not...
I'm having some major issues with my 2018. Windows won't roll down, locks won't work, airbag light stays on. I tried inspecting things, but this issue is well beyond my capabilities. I suspect there's an interior harness issue and maybe a body control module problem. I'll need a competent shop...
Maybe the aftermarket radio is the issue? I installed the maestro RR module, which removes sync. Does the sync module control the boot animation on the cluster?
I can get the quickboot to work, but not anything else. Could this be related to me installing an aftermarket stereo? I noticed I don't have an APIM selection in forscan. Does the 800 raptors have this module?
I had the dealer reset my transmission learning due to some issues with hard shifts between 4th and 5th. Now my 4" insturment cluster shows the f150 boot animation instead of the raptor one. The dealer is saying it's a "configuration option" in the IC, which I'm pretty sure is bs.
Anyone know...
Anyone have any experience with air oil separators? I know AOS systems are very popular with the WRX guys. Does anyone make such a thing for the 3.5l EB?
Reset the learning or whatever it's called. As far as I can tell the there was no reflash. They didn't mention the TSB when they showed me the list though they did show me all the optional ones they were aware of. I'm jabroni619, would love to know the one that covers the pcm reprogramming.
Had the dealer take a look. Of course everything was fine on the way in and they found nothing when they drove it. Reset the calibration and drove ~30 miles home. Put it into sport mode, turned onto the highway from a stop sign, and had an EXTREMELY hard shift from 1st to second. We'll see how...
Thanks guys. Hope it's just a learned behavior thing. For what it's worth, I bought the truck cpo and it had 9k miles on it when I got it. It has 10k now.
My truck is bucking shifting from 4th to 5th. I've only had it a few weeks and just noticed this, because 3rd to 5th doesn't seem to do it as bad. It's really noticeable in sport mode at about 60% throttle and when using the paddle shifters. What should I be asking the service department to make...
I'm looking to replace the 4" head unit in my 2018 SCREW. So far, I think I've settled on getting pioneer AVIC-W8400NEX and installing it with the iDatalink KIT-FTR1/Maestro ADS-MRR. Can anyone provide suggestions for components, subs, amps and headrest monitors (for kids)? Also, I'd like to...
I've come across these two. Not sure what compromises there are when going this route. There appears to be some slight differences between the two watching the videos. Not sure:
