Here's another possible solution from the F-150 forum if you have a built in step on the tailgate.
"There is a torsion rod running through the tailgate. On this torsion rod there are two rubber grommets that prevent the bar from touching the bottom of the tailgate. If they are in the wrong...
Does your tailgate have the built in step bar? If it does, there may be an issue of the torsion bar in the tailgate not being torqued or properly adjusted that has caused some issues with members in another forum. Here's a link on how they were able to fix their noisy tailgates with a built in...
I have the Truxedo Sentry CT and like it a lot because you can easily remove the cover part quickly without any tools by sliding two latches in the front and lifting. It is fairly heavy to lift by yourself though. Never heard any rattles coming from it either.
My only issue is that with the...
Livnitup did a 4.2” to 8” cluster reprogram for me and was completely plug and play. Awesome service and communication. It was a 10-15 minute swap with the instructions he gives
He’s done plenty of these upgrades from the 4.2” to 8” clusters that you can see on the F150forum
I've read in another thread that the Kooks catted pipes throwing a code when mated w/ the SPD adaptors. I can't remember if there were any other mods causing it though

I'm looking to put the Raptor factory downpipes to do a conversion on my F-150 for better flow and sound.
I read in another post that the SPD catted dp's won't give you a CEL and that the Kooks and Stainless Works dp's may. I may end up going w/ the SPD dp's but want to try to stay w/ OEM...
From my experiences 200 cell HFC will more then likely throw a CEL in the newer cars/trucks. Some vehicles systems are more sensitive than others. You may get lucky but it seems Ford and Audi's emissions systems are pretty sensitive from what I've seen on forum post and experiances
Even with...
I'm not sure if the texturing would show or not. You may have to sand them smooth for the best effect.
The vinyl is cheap so you could wrap one of the textured handles to see if you like it or not. That's the great thing with the vinyl is you can peel it off if you don't like it
gijosh28,
If you do decide to go with the SPD downpipes I’m interested in buying your OEM downpipes off you. Please pm me if you go that route.
Thank you
I’m considering going that route and looking at the SPD downpipes because it supposedly has 400 cell cats.
My only hesitation is since I’m in California I’m afraid of not passing the visual smog inspection. I already had an issue w/ my wife’s car not passing once last year because of the...
You can try to vinyl wrap the handles. Try a Google search to see what is the best color match Check out this link on someone doing a wrap on their F-150 handle.
