Yep. Cyclocross is a ton of fun. Basically, you take a road bike, put fatter tires on it, better brakes and ride your ass off in the dirt. Hopefully it'll start raining soon 'cause racing in the mud is even better. :party28:
No prob.
I gotta say, it's a little funky taking your new truck (a little less than 5K miles) and helping to pull apart a good portion of the dash, center console and flow through console. Fortunately, there weren't any screws left over when we put it all back together.
There was one like this in Sunnyvale when I first started looking. $20K added dealer markup. And it had been sold! When we questioned the salesman about it, he started on some rambling speech about how the Raptor wasn't just a truck, it was a part of history blah, blah, blah.
I wound up...
Yep. Usually I have to set it and release it a couple times to get the sensor realize the brake is off. Haven't taken it back to the dealer yet, but will when I find the time.
Lessee, after about 24 hrs of ownership I'd say...
1) The wheels look better than I thought they would. I actually like them quite a bit and didn't think I would from the pictures.
2) The engine. I hadn't driven one before ordering and my FX4 had the 5.4 in it. The 6.2 sounds fantastic...
Thanks! It's definitely worth the wait. And, I'm glad the dealer paid for the first tank of gas 'cause I can't seem to keep from mashing the gas pedal. It's just too damn much fun.
Ordered on 9/4, built on 11/22 and the orignal ETA was the 9th but it showed up a few days early. I got the call it was at the train yard on Thursday and picked it up Friday afternoon.
What a beast! I'm glad I waited. The ride is great, the 6.2 sounds fantastic, the acceleration is a hoot and...
Thanks all for the well wishes.
I still have a pretty hefty surgery looming before me, but we appear to have caught things before it spread. So, while the surgery will suck and the changes will take some getting used to, I should come out of it disease free and have many years of getting my...
My truck gets built today (http://fordlabels.webview.biz/webviewhybrid/WindowSticker.aspx?vin=1FTFW1R62CFA44783) and tomorrow is my last day of chemo & radiation!
I have to admit I had started to lose faith. I hadn't seen a Raptor up close and personal since my order on 09/04 and the 2012...
Mine came in. Ordered on 9/4. The exact build date is not set yet but will be during the week of 12/19. I ordered a Silver SCrew with Lux, Nav and F&R Cameras.
This.
This same type of calculation got me to trade in my 2010 FX4 and order a 2012 raptor (and don't forget regearing which is another $1000 or so after parts, labor and tax - give or take). Then, when your all done, you might have warranty issues, you might have fitment issues (my FX4 had...
A poster in another forum snapped some pics from a 2012 Truck Color & Trim binder. The center stack, console and door inserts look to be just like the orange, only blue (ie, full blue with chrome trim).
(Is okay to include links to threads in another forum?)
Ingot Silver without the blue accents.
The pictures of the seats are interesting and have me thinking about adding the accent package to my order but I'm waiting to see shots of the console and center stack.
Yep, I did just that on the FX4 I recently traded in (ordered the panel online through Tasca). It made the tailgate useful again for putting things on (drinks, bike stuff, your butt...).
