I live in Austin and all of the comments from the previous posts seem spot-on, not that demographics are too important - you know other that 1 out of 4 trucks sold in the country being sold here in Texas (all makes)!

Awww that sucks! I also tried to jack up the rear but it made no difference. I can only guess that either that part of the pan where to dipstick would read from is elevated or there is something blocking direct access to the pan. That would have alleviated at least 30 minutes of plate removal...
