So I took delivery of my Blue Flame Screw yesterday and all I have to say is WOW! totally worth the wait. I've only been able to drive it about 5 miles so far (busy couple days). But the wife was out joy-riding last night and is equally impressed.
Will have some pics up this weekend.
Sorry for the slow response. I live in Montana. But my ETA has now been pushed to the 13th also. We have so much flooding going on between here and North Dakota, that the trains are being re-routed south. So things are taking longer now. Go figure!!
When I originally ordered my Blue Flame Screw, I was hoping to have it by Memorial Day. No luck. And now it's supposed to be rainy (and possibly snowing) all weekend so boating is out of the question. Would have been a great weekend to do some off-roading!
I guess I should quit whining...
So I got my VIN # last week and my dealer says I should see my truck the second week in June. But when I go to the tracking site to pull the window sticker I get a message saying "VIN # not found in system".
Is this a normal message to get until the sticker becomes available? Is there any...
To my understanding, our government and the EPA mandate that auto comapnies have to hit a certain # of MPGs for an average over all cars produced. This takes into account all the fleet 4 bangers you see on the rental company lots, as well as the gas guzzlers we drive. I think the current...
Got my VIN # today! Dealer said he didn't know the build date yet but should get some more info on Monday. It's looking like his initial estimate of 8 weeks is going to be off. Probably be closer to the 12 week norm. But at least I'm 1 step closer!!
I was told the same 6-8 week story and am coming up on 6 weeks with no news as well. I was guessing I'd be lucky to have it by Memorial Day and am still hoping for that. But I'm definitely not holding my breath.
Ordered 3/17. Dealer originally said approx 8 weeks. Now I'm told it will probably be late May.
I figure I'll be lucky to have it by Memorial Day and pissed if I don't have it by the 4th of July! But I haven't really followed up on it either. I figure the wait will be easier if it just...
So not to sound greedy......BUT I wonder if the stop in production of black raptors will speed up the production time for others, like mine!! Sorry Fordx4.
Indeed. Every management class taught in college refers to "JIT" practices for inventory. Just In Time inventory means you should have as little in stock as you can without slowing down production. For an auto company, I would assume they have no more than 2 weeks worth of supply on hand for...
Love that advice! I'm not sure the heated seats in the other vehicles has ever don that for her though. Maybe I'll have to find a washboarded gravel road for our first drive so they can be heated....and vibrate.
How long have you been wating. I'm really hoping to have mine by the 4th of July. But 3 years ago, we ordered the mustang this time of year shooting for the 4th and it showed up on Labor Day. Hope that's not the case this time!
Gave my dealer the list of options I wanted on Friday so he could work me out a price with trade. Talked to him today and he informed me he placed the order knowing he could sell it if I (actually my wife) don't end up liking it. He quoted me a good price and knows there's no way I could...
Thanks. I wish there was a good comparitive illustration to show the different dimensions between the regular f-150 Screw and the Raptor. The local dealer has a Raptor coming in next week (already sold) but at least I'll get to check it out sitting next to a regular f-150.
And we live in a...
I'd vote for the Borlas.
Anybody with the Borlas experience any drone. I have Borla stingers on my mustang and love them. But they have some drone at low RPMs. As long as you keep your foot in it, they sound amazing though.
