Happy Holloween - got your candy ready?

For the first time in 7 years, we got zero trick or treaters. Our best was past year, with 14 kids. The bars have 12 months left before the "best by" date, so into the preps they go. Can't have too much high quality chocolate in a SHTF scenereo. This sucks so bad, thought I was building a...

So, what is the fast speed you've done in your Raptor?

Well, people are driving at these speeds in trafic. See the video in post 133 of this thread. On that post, Forum member "ISFast" says he has experienced the "shimmy" at this speed. I don't think the Raptor in the video was 'MiamiRaptor' When you watch the video, note how the raptor is...

So, what is the fast speed you've done in your Raptor?

No, that post with the yellow street queen/monstrosity was supposed to be a joke, but instead is starting to derail this thread. I agree Raptor was designed to go 100 MPH stock both on and offroad. The stock tires are fine at those speeds - probably fine at much higher speeds for short...

So, what is the fast speed you've done in your Raptor?

I think if you plan on going faster than 80 MPH offroading, tires are key. And so is the vehicle. I think it's obvious to the most casual observer that the truck pictured here is set up for the ultimate in high speed offroading. Where is that sarcasm icon

So, what is the fast speed you've done in your Raptor?

Both you, RDFTS and Soldier 64 seem to feel that exceeding the speed ratings on your tires by a wide margin is OK. Don't want to derail this thread, but it reading the whole thing, I get the sense that most of the thread posters are not concerned about exceeding the speed ratings on their...

So, what is the fast speed you've done in your Raptor?

So you did 135 MPH on the autoban and 120 MPH in the US. What tires are you running? Took mine up to the limiter a few times, which was fast enough with my old stock BFG's tires - could not imagine going 135 MPH with any all terrain tires. But maybe I am taking the speed ratings too...

    Help me decide! Retrofit Headlights.

They are properly mounted now. Jeff, thanks for fixing my lights last night. They were both not fully seated, but are now. Ted was there as well and agrees. Both are fellow forum members. Pic of a properly mounted Raptor Retofit 2014 OEM below. Thread Hyjack over, appologies to...

OK, I will stop posting. But before I do, I feel that: 1. my posts are exactly relevant to the thread. Not sure why you are saying this is a thread hyjck. I am offering up my real world experience here, but if what I am posting is misguided and wrong, then my bad. I will delete all of my...

    Help me decide! Retrofit Headlights.

My truck is bone stock, save for the mods on my sig line - my fenders and bodywork is OEM. So there should not be a gap. Would you agree? Because Don at KHC told me that there should be a gap, as there were slight sheet metal differences between model years. I am wondering why they told...

Joker, I have the 2014 OEM bulbs at 35 watts. Don't quite get what You mean by taking the bulbs down 5 inches. Whatever you meant, that sounds like a major adjustment. Doesn't look like my lights are high? My pictures aren't the greatest but do your lights that gaps as large as mine...

    Help me decide! Retrofit Headlights.

Though I wish it were an issue or poor fittmemt/install, no way this is the problem. KHC did the install and told me that is exactly how they should fit. I would think their install would be the standard by which others are measured by. Now, if I had done the install myself, then I...

    Help me decide! Retrofit Headlights.

Yes, I PM'ed Dawson. My wife's 5 year old A-6 has HID's that produce more than enough light on the sides, just like my 2012 stock lights. I live on a cul de sac. I have routinely driven around it at night (say taking a left) and had no problem seeing what I was driving into. Not so last...

Not so sure you want the 2013 OEM HID's. They do not mount flush, with large gaps between .14 to .21 of and inch (either 2 or 3 quarters). The light output is fantastic on my Raptor Retorfits. But there is no visibility to the side. Driving around last night on dark roads, and making a 90...

    Gold rush season premiere

The 1,000 oz was gross - what was left after payment (in gold) of the Viking's 15% cut every week. After paying off the crew, fuel, maintenance/spare parts, food, ect. the pile would be far smaller. After making all the above payments, how much would be left? I simply have no clue, but if...

Really? You drove around with the lid open without releasing the gas springs, folding the cover back, and lashing it down to the other panel using the integrated cleats? Just curious, but how do you go about tightening the screws on the C clamps that hold the cover to the bed rails. Please...

Reverse perch, am i the first?

Hard to believe that the engineering and testing was all done at mid perch, only to be undone at the 11th hour because of a DOT regulation. The whole department would have been fired for such an oversight. No way they would have designed and then done all thier tests on a set up that was not...

Diamondback Bed Cover.... so far my best addition yet.

I agree on the others looking cheap and flimsy. Or bright and shiny plastic like the Leer shell caps. The shiny shell covers are pure street queen but that is only my opinion. You can walk on these, but stand with legs apart - dont put your feet together and jump up and down.
