For those of you that mounted one in the bed, how did you choose to do it? I have the swing cases on the sides, so the only other feasible place was to put it up against the cab. Also, I'm wondering what you guys did for your traction boards, jack plate, and other accessories. Thanks!
Got it figured out. Had one of the screws run into the switch too far and was shorting it out. Wasn't too difficult to figure out doing some continuity testing. The kit is very well done, and the instructions are great as well. I would say the only thing that could be added is maybe some paper...
Very nicely put together kit. I just finished the install but neither paddle is working, so I'd imagine I didn't get the ground plugged in correctly. Time to get the multi-meter out. lol
Update on this - Evil Offroad wasn't able to make the flip up license plate bracket work properly with the bumper, but they did send me the trailer connector bracket. They did end up sending me a partial refund since they originally promised the flip up bracket. I decided I was going to mount...
Truck is finally out of storage so I got a chance to work on the speaker upgrades. I got the A-pillar tweeter areas dremeled out to fit the Focal tweeters which worked perfect. The speakers were fitted into all 4 doors without having to modify anything but the wiring connectors. The factory...
Anything is going to be better than the stock Sony sub. That thing is only slightly above useless. As far as fitting a subwoofer behind the seat there is very little room back there. Originally I was going to try and use 2 fairly small subwoofers back there, but after researching and many...
Factory sub works fine without having to do anything. I added the line converter because I wanted to remove the factory sub. I'm still using the factory Sony amp for the speakers, but the JL sub has its own separate amp. As far as the Android 10 unit goes I have one in my 2004 allroad and it's...
You don't have that interface? That's the interface for the PX6 unit that you should see in startup. The only way to get into the old Sync 2 screen is by manually switching to it.
Would they get hot in the bed during summer time? Also, I feel like without the A/C on in the cab the fridge would have a hard time keeping up when the interior temp climbs. Only time we've ever used the fridge on our Flex is when it's being driven.
Sucks because usually their stuff is great. I had the same debate on my Flex going aftermarket radiator or not but ended up just getting the Ford "towing package" radiator for it. No headaches.
The software from him just fixed a lot of the little nuances with the setup, plus it fixes a lot of the weird settings nomenclatures. Also, he has the live wallpapers, boot menus, etc. Definitely worth the money.
Truck is at the bodyshop currently getting paint work done and after it's done there I'll be waiting to bring it home until all the winter weather is gone and the salt is clear from the roads. Probably won't have any update for another few weeks.
There's a settings menu you need to access with a code, I can't remember it off hand. There's a spot in that menu that allows you to mirror the Sync 2 display. I ran into the same issue on mine. I would join the Tesla screen Facebook group as there's tons of useful information on there...
