Nice setup! This is what I currently have. You can't see the light bar behind the grille but there's a 40" Rigid light bar behind it. It doesn't look as "flashy" behind the grille, but it allowed me to space the other lights where I wanted them more. I'm thinking when I get the roof rack and...
Yes, the plan would be to use the SDI kit to control them. The 19+ live valve shocks can be had for a reasonable price as take offs. Yes, the SDI kit is like 1800 bucks, but I'm pretty sure the 3.0 adjustable front and rears are like 8000 dollars.
After much reading around and research I believe I've finally get my setup narrowed down. Wanting something that rides nicely on the street but can take some good abuse offroad. Here's the current plan:
19+ OEM live valve front shocks
KHC front coil buckets
Geiser Gen 1 front springs on middle...
Figured I may as well look into this as well. Current setup is Alpharex red smoked taillights running some extremely bright reverse bulbs, Baja Designs S2 white work/scene lights mounted into the Evil Offroad Banshee bumper (hooked up to reverse and Aux 4), LED license plate lights that came...
I'm not cool enough for Starbucks, so no Alcons for me I guess. lol Being as they are the only brake upgrade that fits under a 17" wheel though I'd love to see a test of them vs something like an upgraded pad and rotor kit. I know they're gonna be better than the completely stock brakes, but I...
Yea, that makes sense the higher they are mounted the less shadowing you would have. The issue I've experienced with roof mounted lighting is that it reflects off the hood and windshield. It makes certain areas easier to see, but from what I remember hurts your longer range night vision. I'm...
Also as a heads up, I ran these on my 13 Limited as well and have had zero issues with them coming loose or fading. If I get another vehicle that can use them I will definitely be running them on it as well!
Hey guys, currently running the Morimoto XB headlights, Rigid 40" light bar mounted behind the front grille, Baja Designs Squadron Sport combo/driving in white x2, and Baja Designs Squadron Sport wide cornering in yellow x2. The squadrons are mounted directly to the frame cut bumper. Light...
That would definitely be the easy way to do it! lol
I guess until I'm ready to replace the Sony amp, add the processor, and replace the head unit I'll just stick with what I have. I know the sound output from the PX6 unit without the RCA outputs isn't going to be great, and without replacing...
One of the other downsides I'm seeing with the Alcon kit is they won't clear the dust shields, so they need to be removed. Also, you have to cut the locating tabs off the brake lines as well since the Alcon calipers have no provision for them. Still haven't seen any other brake upgrades that...
So you're saying you can run the OEM Sony amp with a processor? I just assumed that the OEM Sony amp was most of the issue in getting anything out of the speakers. Wouldn't I need the RCA outputs from the head unit, and what do you mean by an active front stage?
Yea, it's got no RCA outputs for sure. I would need to change out the head unit to get the low level outputs for the amp, and then also remove the Sony amp and install the sound processor too. From what I've been learning with sound systems in newer vehicles you either just make some small...
Yea, I'm thinking of just continuing to run the PowerStop setup. The only upgrade from where I'm currently at is the front and rear Alcon setup if I want to stay with 17's, which after you get the supporting stuff is 7500. It's not that I can't afford that, I'm just thinking I'd rather spend...
The thing is I don't know if it would make a lot of sense to do since I'm running the PX6 head unit, which isn't exactly a high end head unit for sound control/output. I'm more than sure a system separately controlling each speaker with it's own amplifier channel is going to be the best for...
Yea, I've had extremely good luck with them with the dozens of kits I've installed on different customer vehicles as well. I just was curious if it was gonna be worth looking at something like the Alcon kit, or if most had found the Powerstop Z36 kit with properly working calipers and stainless...
Hey guys, have a 2013 that originally came with the full Sony system. Currently have a Phoenix Automotive PX6 Android 9 head unit (with custom firmware), Focal midrange speakers in the front doors with the Focal tweeters in the stock location, Focal components in the rear doors, 12" JL shallow...
It's looking like at this point the only option for something that won't drill into the cab would be the Rhino-Rack cross bars that clamp onto the sides of the cab.
