Ready to move onto the next phase of lighting, which would be the lighting for the sides of the vehicle. This namely would be used for camping situations, or break down situations. I was thinking of maybe going with something cheaper than Baja Designs since I basically just need some inexpensive...
I'd say you'll have to build a custom box then. I had the underseat storage compartment and removed it once I got the Swing Cases. I like having the flat floor room in the back a lot.
That's my thoughts too. Compressor with a tank means air reserve, plus refillable. Once that portable tank runs out it's out, you ain't refilling it when you're not in town. Rather have the best of both worlds of capacity, plus refill on the go.
I wasn't sure what size tank I was going to run, but you think dual 400's would be better than the ARB Twin? I don't have a spare or bracket in the OEM location anymore, so there's tons of space to mount things back there.
Yea, I was thinking of doing dual 400's with a tank mounted where the spare used to go. I thought about the ARB twin, but I feel like it's pricey for what it is, and I won't be using any of the accessories or brackets ARB offers.
Mine are wired into the trailer reverse circuit as well as Aux 4 and they work just fine when I put it into reverse. I'd assume you need to remove the bulb out monitoring from the BCM so it doesn't shut off.
Hey guys! Curious your thoughts on a larger aftermarket inverter setup. Thought it may be nice for plugging in 110v stuff, and also was curious if there was potentially a way to provide "shore" power to the system. Thanks!
Forgot to mention, there's also:
Large crescent wrench
Jumper cables
Large heavy duty zip ties
Receiver mounted shackle
Milwaukee battery charger
2 more light duty ratchet straps
2 MRE's
I also bought that KE rope and soft shackles too.
Granted when I do go off-road I load up on a lot of the other items that you have, but I'm just trying to get an idea of what are considered the "essentials" really. Currently in the truck I have:
100 ft. synthetic winch rope
Heavy duty snatch block
Tree strap
Heavy duty come-along
Large...
Alright, I'll go ahead and replace that stuff then. I forgot to mention, I also have a folding shovel as well. I will say that those hard shackles are a bit clunky to use since they're so heavy and folding up the 4" flat strap does rather suck. Any other recommendations?
