If you're gonna be dealing with fog and snow I'd recommend amber. I originally had white lights and changed all mine over to yellow besides the backup lights. I'm sure you've seen my lighting threads though. :P
Ordered these, I like that they have a fully diffused lens, plus they're probably expensive enough to not be complete garbage, but cheap that I'm not spending 230 bucks on a pair of BD lights.

I also ordered the smaller...
That makes a little more sense. lol That might be a better question for @The Car Stereo Company. I didn't do anything with it on my setup that still uses the Sony processor and pulling signal from the front speakers.
Yes, they are just covers that go on the door handles. The shifter is about an hour job if you take your time, it's not really that hard. I have the eBay carbon fiber steering wheel as well. There was no Gen 1 with a heated steering wheel, so no, there's no connections for it.
Yea, I've got Nilite ones on my tube front bumper that work very well, so I think I'll just go something that route to mount the lights to the rack. I've only got space for something smaller on the back corner of the rack anyways since the traction boards take up most of the space on the side.
I will be doing these as well down the road here, just wanted to get the front, rear, and side lighting done first. :) I'm thinking of just some cheaper Amazon lights since they don't need to be nearly as bright as the BD lights. Basically just need something so it's not completely dark on the...
Update on this - apparently the Android 10 units are being phased out already and they are updating them all to Android 12. The issue with this is that it looks like it'll be 2 months before I get the unit. Not a huge deal as the truck will be going into storage here soon, so I can always...
I realized today that I'll most likely have to run something like the Baja Designs S2's in work/scene. The traction boards take up almost the whole basket on one side which doesn't leave much room at the back. I think it would probably be best to use bar mounted brackets like I did for the front...
I had a P38 Vitesse in the AA Yellow, 1 of 150 over here. Looked cool, but it was absolutely a **** and horrible on fuel. Anything electronic was junk, and you could never find interior or body stuff for it. I sold it because I got tired of trying to hunt down any parts for it.
Mobil 1 5W-20 full synthetic and Motorcraft filter here. I ran a Mobil 1 filter once when the store was out of stock of the Motorcraft. Debated switching to 5W-30 though. Never seen a need for oil additives unless you have some sort of issues.
For M/T's I had the KM3's originally, then went to the K02's, and now am running the Cooper STT Pro. My biggest gripe with the BFG's is they are smaller than advertised size. They are a nice tire, and ride nice, but they don't quite look the part for me. I'd imagine those Yokohama's will work...
Yea, I was thinking of trying something more akin to a light bar so it doesn't look like lights just hanging off the sides of the rack. Definitely needs to be flood/work/scene pattern so that it disperses well and doesn't blind you.
Yea, that's my worry is that going with something too bright won't help as it'll just blind you. I was kind of looking at like RV awning lights like you mentioned. I basically just want something to illuminate the sides for camping or out on the trail repairs, don't need something super bright.
I'm not new to E85, I've used it in many vehicles, from stock to race stuff. The 6.2 Raptor didn't use flex fuel from the factory, the 5.4 did. I am not saying you can't CONVERT something to use it.
I'll have to do some looking around on other forums for people that have mounted lights to their roof racks. I was almost wondering if there were magnetic mounts that I could just attach them to the roof as well.
You'll need to paint it. Once it's faded that's the only way to restore it back. There's many of us on here who have painted them. I did mine in the factory gray color with some light bedliner underneath.
