Yea, I tried a couple different things and ended up with the filled in white. The silver/chrome looked a bit tacky, the red didn't really show up well, and the outline didn't show up well either. The white filled ended up winning.
Thanks to @Jhollowell for designing these emblems! Was able to remove the Sony ones from the speaker covers easily and glue these ones on. I just filled the recesses with white paint to make it stand out a bit more. I tried a silver metallic and it looked like crap, the white looked far better...
Yea, like I said, that's why I'm trying to find a set of non-Sony ones as they didn't have the indents on them or the holes. They still need to be painted though, no such thing as factory black ones that were non-Sony. All my audio stuff has been changed as well which is why I want to remove them.
I was able to figure out that they will in fact work for the rear sill plates as well, they just need to be carefully disassembled and cut down. The lighting pad is plenty short that you don't have to worry about doing anything with it, it's just cutting down the plastic backing and the metal...
Excellent work! Looks great! I'm still hunting for a set of gray non-Sony speaker grilles that I can paint black. I have the black ones from my Limited, but I want to remove the Sony badges without it looking funky.
Yep, the small knob in between the shifter and cupholders is a bass control knob for the subwoofer. The button in front of the shifter is the tow/haul button for when you change to the B&M shifter. The rectangle things are magnets, and there's one on each side. Can either stick your phone to it...

Got the lights, brackets, and wiring installed. It's very hard to hide the wiring, but I think it turned out pretty solid. I didn't want to drill any holes in the roof, so the wiring was run from the upfitter switch area, through the fender and door jamb, under the weatherstripping, and under...
With the second set of ones I have I'm going to see if I can potentially trim it down to fit the rear sills as well. Hoping to mess with that this week. Should be interesting. lol
