I definitely agree. I have also had way too many blowouts that cost well over a set of new tires to repair the damage. I live a mile high in the very dry desert in nm and we constantly have extreme UV indexes. I replace tires on every vehicle and trailer I own every three years.
It sounds like you had some serious fun. I was not aware that my onX app aka onXmaps.com would hook up to my screen in my truck through CarPlay. I forgot to download the map for NM, but my son did it before our hunting trip a couple weeks back. It showed every single road, fence lines, water...
I understand your opinion, but have you ever owned a built Gen. 3 Raptor? I’d appreciate your feedback if you have any real experience with livernois heads. Let’s see what we can do to push the limits of these trucks!
That is one reason why I will buy a Raptor R. It would be much more of a PITA to convert the typical Gen. 3 truck. I also have plenty of amazing V8’s in my Arsenal. My top favorite 3 are built for sand drags and mud Boggs. My Butte Mobile is extremely impressive when I get on it in deep sand...
Thanks for your recommendation. There is no software to tune the R’s yet, so I’m not 100% committed. I’ve almost bought a few, but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I’m happy with my truck right now, but when it breaks I’m going to build back better. I also don’t like to buy the first year or so...
2 threads because one is in the Gen 2 sub. I figured someone with an older truck might have some feedback. I’m replacing them to make more power. The bottom end is going to be built as well, so more flow will help. New larger turbos are going to need to be able to flow freely to maximize...
I used to be good with computers, but I had an accident that caused some problems dealing with technology. I don’t know how to post videos of the different pulls. The time stamps on the pictures show the difference during the process. The earlier ones are the stock downpipe pulls. The later ones...
I did a few dyno pulls to test the changes with these pipes on my stock truck. I tested it completely stock, and then tested it with a tune. After that I tested the truck with the new pipes on a stock tune, and then with a custom tune. There was not a large gain in power.
On my modified truck I...
CR Performance was very great to work with. Their customer service was great. The problem was indeed a faulty wastegate actuator. GooseTuned was also able to help me figure out the problem. The part that failed was a factory Ford part. It was a quick easy fix. These pictures are of the part that...
Well, I guess this is a fairly common problem with multiple factory wastegates. I’ll be home in 4-5 days to fix the problem. After that is fixed, I will continue with the next step of the build. Good things are coming.
I keep getting a code for a stuck wastegate. It moves perfectly by hand. The truck runs and makes boost just fine for about 10 minutes and then the wrench light and service engine soon pop up. The truck still runs fine, but boost is limited to about 1-2 psi if any. Usually it is just the wrench...
I’m working on it. I have a couple of buddies with them. One of my neighbors has one too. Just gotta get together when we’re in the same city and state lol
I believe my mileage is actually better because the truck isn’t having to be in boat as much. The air is flowing so much smoother. The real test will be a 100 mile run at 100 mph
LOL you guys are funny. I like going fast on the street, but I really love going fast on the dirt. I spend a ton of time in the sand. I jump the truck, go over 100 mph through really rough stuff, and I like having the power on pump gas. Hopefully it will be tuned on e85 this week. I am lucky...
Well today turned out to be very busy. I guess the results aren’t going to matter with the aftermarket parts and down pipes since Winfield already showed them. I’m going to dyno with the stock down pipes then put the spd Downpipes on my other stock truck. It’ll be next week. I got too tired to...
