My 2018 is the daily driver with 66k. To me, it’s been the most practical / coolest truck I’ve owned. It suits my lifestyle well. I have owned many nice vehicles in the past and I used to stress about them getting dirty and I tried to minimize mileage on them. But once I was able to let go and...
I also found a set of raptor bead locks for 750. Great condition came with toyo open country AT3 tires with only 10k on them. I bought them and ordered black OEM lug nuts from CJ pony. Looks much better.
I agree, I also used to stress out trying to keep my 2018 802A in perfect condition. Took some time to let go, but it finally happened and a little dirt doesn’t bother me anymore. My Raptor looks better on a trail covered in dust anyway. I still enjoy doing my own maintenance though.
I also had a loud rattle sound when going over bumps. Turns out it was my front brake pads on the passenger side. One brake pad was missing the metal holding clip for the pad. I decided to replace my pads on both driver and passenger side. Problem solved.
I still love a classic V8 supercharged Ford pick up truck. I drove a 2001 Ford F-150 Lightning for many years in West Texas. I think I will give my 2018 802a to my wife and buy the “R” when it becomes available. I appreciate the competition the TRX brings, but I’m sticking with Ford.
I have taken some of my company trucks to this dealer in Andrews Tx for service and they are always helpful and easy to get in touch with. I Highly recommend people in the area to do business with them for sure.
The constant rubbing really bothered me. Ended up buying some factory Raptor bead locks for $750 with Toyo open country at3 tires. I thought it was a good deal. The tires have 10k on them. And the wheels are in great condition. Ordered some black Gorilla lug nuts from CJ Pony.
Your truck looks great. I like the look with these Icons. The offset causes rub on the mud flap in reverse while turning, but not too bad. I think will keep these wheels for now.
Just purchased a 2018 802a and love the truck. It came with 17” Icon Compression wheels with +6mm offset, and 35” Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Does anyone else have these Icon wheels on their truck? If so, what are your thoughts on them as far as quality?
