Yeah, I chopped a bunch of the length out of it though. I also had to do a bit more trimming on the divider because it started to vibrate and pull the plug out I think, which i also think lead to me burning up one of the connectors because it wasnt fully seated. I was going to do a writeup...
I got a Vehicle OCD console divider on Amazon after loving the one in my much smaller tacoma console. I had to do some modifying for use with the AV box, and then some more for the Radio install, but i love them for keeping things organized.
Havent had a chance to install the parts yet unfortunately. Packing to move houses and have a few parts to install on both my cars, but the wife isn't having it :argue:
Another vote for c02. It's super cheap to get a 150psi fixed regulator and hose, find a tank on craigslist and you're set. No need for a bling powertank setup to me. Getting a big tank mounted somewhere securely is another story though. I have a 20lb and the only real problem is not knowing how...
I thought i'd need an external speaker for mine as well, but it's plenty loud in the console for my needs. It's really not too hard to do it yourself without the speaker. I did mine in about 3 hours. Got all the stuff from PCI
So then what's a strut mount?
When it's so widely known what the right term is, I just don't get why people dont use it. It's like saying i have 35" BFG wheels on my truck, I know what they meant, but come on.
What do you mean by "strut mount"? People use "struts" and "shocks" as interchangeable terms, and they aren't. A strut is a structural member to the suspension, and the shocks on these are not.
Because the Fox's dont use rubber bushings for the mounting points, you're going to feel a bit more from the front end. Not saying your Fox's aren't an issue to tho...
Just pulled my new fox 3.0s because of a clunk I noticed after install. Really notice it when going over a speed bump quickly...
I used a lift to do mine, which made things immensely easier. The driver side bolt is a bitch on the leaf springs. I chewed through like 5 sawzall blades and a few cutoff wheels, as you can't use a whole wheel given the access there. Then I just used an impact to break the head off with torque...
That's a tiregate, they make tailgate spare tire carriers and are pretty cool, also reversible so the tire can tilt into the bed. Aren't great for what? The ride on yours was likely bad due to suspension needing a rebuild. I've taken mine off-road stock and it definitely wasn't all that bad, but...
I've never heard of it....? I'm not sure. Is it a place or an event? I stopped through Mojave just for a gas top up on the way out, didnt stop to look around.
