    San Felipe with the Boys

I never post much on here, but after seeing the San Felipe 250 posts and videos lately, I figured I might as well throw up a quick little trip report on a recent run to San Felipe I took with some friends back in October. A buddy of mine has a budding Baja trip company (IG: @adventuresofdirt...

    Was There a Time When…

Supercharged was an aftermarket add-on, so your only way to tell is an extra party pulley on top and a different look to the intake. Oh and the dash telling you you're averaging 7-9 MPG. All 2011-2014 Raptors were SVT until they nixed that department around 2015 or so and came up with Ford...

    Was There a Time When…

I came from the earlier days of Pirate4x4.com, a hardcore rockcrawing forum full of degenerate know-it-alls with the most creative ways to insult and demean you. It really made people think twice about posting BS that could have easily been found with a quick search. I would research something...

    Was There a Time When…

Well if they're asking about the old days and what it was like back then, do you expect to have a lot of discussion about trucks that were still 3-10 years away?

    Was There a Time When…

As a Gen 1 owner, most everything that gets discussed on here is boring, annoying, childish and immensely repetitive. Prospective gen 3 owners waiting for their truck 6 months after paying a $20k ADM, Gen 2 owners asking if every little thing they hear is a cam phaser rattle, discussing the...

You cant tow with a Raptor

It would appear everyone here is more concerned about defending their raptor than looking at pictures and understanding sarcasm

Finally decided to lift the Raptor! Need help deciding....

OOOF, i was on board with the lifted truck idea until you reminded me I'd have to buy a new drop hitch. That one i just couldnt pencil into the budget.

Finally decided to lift the Raptor! Need help deciding....

I feel like those that are interested in a lift kit are going to like having a lift kit, and those that wouldnt consider it, aren't. The things that you gain by lifting it arent usually the things those that dont want a lift are after. Just two different kinds of owners. Oh, and when they say...

    Radio Commutations

That's what my buddies with more purpose built prerunners and buggies have said, it gets tiring and annoying wearing the headsets. I'd avoid them if I could.

    Radio Commutations

Sounds like a race truck alright, better get headsets.

    Radio Commutations

I've got the PCI kit with ICOM radio and was sure I'd need the external speaker, but the only time I've ever wanted that was if I was outside my truck hanging out and wanted to hear something. Most of the time I leave the volume about halfway up with the console lid closed and have absolutely no...

Yesterday's new topics - Can we opt out of Gen 2 and Gen 3 issues?

I swear, If I see one more topic about "why did they move my build date again" "What ADM did you agree to" or "Look at this plastic bag they left in my backseat LOL" thread on those FRF daily email updates im just going to turn them off.... I'm partially joking, but if there was a way to do it...

How to pull 15 inch of travel on a budget.

Supporting the weight of the axle and absorbing the extension of a spring loaded axle at the end of it's droop are 2 different things. I don't know where your shock extension ends and where your axle droop ends, but if they're close and you're jumping it and pushing it, straps are definitely...

Crazy lug nut question and situation...

Here's how I had to get mine off when the 21 wouldnt fit and the 22 started slipping on them. Impact socket and a 5lb sledge. Much like mr car stereo, I preferred typical solid lugs. Didnt want to worry about needing a special socket when changing a tire in the middle of nowhere mexico...

    Baja Raptor Run

Appreciate it, i can understand the points made. No offense taken. The usual reasons are understood, but i was assuming there might be some bigger failures surrounding them that I was interested to hear. Our groups are generally small affairs with friends, so a breakdown here and there is...

    Baja Raptor Run

Your concern for my engine longevity is noted, but what I'm asking is why has that been made rule numero uno for the trips? Has someone with an oiled filter lost an engine on the trip, has someone stopped the group while they cleared an oiled filter so the engine would run, did a guy get held up...

    Baja Raptor Run

I've heard all these reasons regurgitated, just wondering if there were any other reasons. On every off-road trip i've been on, I never sit in someone's dust, you hang back and let it settle, so im not eating that much dust all the time. We go by the rule that you wait at any direction change...

    Possible damage after a run?

I mean, have you looked in the back to see? Sway bar, shock, leaf spring, tire pressure, etc? It isn't too hard to give it a once over in the driveway. Maybe an ABS sensor or something affecting traction control?

Check this thread out, lots of discussion on it. Also, Mine continues to have it after new UCAs, sway bar links and ball joints. Got the right socket to torque my lower shock bolt better. https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/chasing-that-frt-end-clunk.67333/

    Ignition coil replacement problem

I've been getting a bit of a lumpy idle so I figured it was time, but i'm about to take the truck to Mexico so I think i'll hold off until i get back.... seems like the "difficult" plugs just need some extensions and universals, nothing crazy?

    Ignition coil replacement problem

Subbed for updates on how plug removal goes :D I went with just plugs, wires and boots for the coils, not all new coils, waiting for it all to come in.

What do you guys think of this video?

Kind of sounds like bypass clatter, but you're not going through much travel so maybe not, unless one of the tubes is opening up on really small stuff. That or a loose suspension bolt. Hard to tell with the music on.
