I'll be honest, being on midperch with factory 2.5s, I've stuffed the front end once or twice. A few times it ripped the plastic push pins off that hold the fender lip on. If you push your vehicle hard, another inch and a half of up travel you might want new glass.
Wait...what are these for? I know people that run these usually have full fiberglass sides with a tubed back half. Never seen them on full bed trucks. If your tailgate is binding, the tops must be bent inward or outward somehow, correct? Wonder if this is why my tailgate is binding now...I have...
I actually have two gen 1s. Extended cab (edit) in tuxedo black, and a quad cab in silver ingot. Whenever I come across a maroon one though (especially with bronze wheels!) I am dangerously tempted to get another one.. :dogpile:
I've had good success with having one or two bikes in the back (hitting jumps at 100mph), but also some bad memories (bike flew out of the back after a strap broke). The biggest thing is using fork savers to fully compress the suspension, and some good ratchet straps. Key word being ratchet...
