Am I the only one who is sick and tired of the same old drab colors? Grey, gray, silver, black, white and the rest of the same ole boring same. It's going to be a meme for this era.
I just went to order a new "R" and ended up walking out the door after looking at the color chart. I told my dealer to call me when they get some interesting colors. He said that they're getting more and more customers saying the same thing and hoping Ford will do something soon. Guys, we're paying 6 figures for these trucks, is this is all Ford can offer? It's just paint. And NO, I don't want to wallpaper (wrap) a truck that's this expensive. Just wondering,,, am I the only one?

The way they are selling R's I don't see them making changes due to "lack of demand". I think they are going to keep doing what they are doing until sales plummet. I think painting the truck after delivery is your best option if you don't want to wrap it.

You're right regarding the repaint. However, I always consider resale value with every purchase I make as I trade often and I'd be spending probably $10K+ to repaint a low production truck, only to depreciate the resale value.
As a sidebar;
I took my 85 year old mother to the doctor's office the other day. They had just done a total makeover of the entire building, and it was really a high-end build. Everything in the building was gray. Chairs walls, floors, even the paintings on the wall were gray. My mother kind of chuckled to herself and commented that she noticed in her lifetime that colors are cyclic, and that gray was popular back in the 1950's and early 1960's. She said "Battleship Gray" was the rage back then. Then things changed and people decided that the color gray was too depressing, and perhaps consequently, colors went wild in the psychedelic 1960's. Who knows what's next. I guess I'll just be happy with my Code Orange 37 for now.

Not digging shelter green?

:)
It's okay, and I do like it, just not enough to spend 100+ large on. The pretty blues like Carrol Shelby had on the Cobras, now that would look nice. Ferrari Reds perhaps. Lime green, and yellow. I know Lime Green wouldn't be a high production color; however, it's those low production colors are always the valuable ones down the road.

I'd buy Lime Green in a nano second especially if it were one of those "House of Kolor" paint colors. For those not familiar with House of Kolor, Google Image: "House of Kolor" and you'll see what colors really can be. Jon Kosmoski really changed the industry with his colors back in the 1960's. Ford's Ruby red is an original House of Kolor paint. They bought the rights to use it from Kosmoski and when their contract ran out Ford changed it half shade lighter and called it Rapid Red to avoid paying him again.
