Anyone here running the ADD Pro Bolt-On bumper with an aftermarket bumper in the stock location? I am asking as this bumper is pretty tight against the body and most aftermarket ICs in the stock location protrude quite a bit forward towards the bumper.

Also, do you have to remove or modify the shutters when you relocate the ACC to the grill?

Thank you!

another member on here verified the CPE stock location intercooler would not work with the bumper, not sure about the other stock location kits.

when you relocate the acc sensor you'll need to drill a hole into the bottom of the grille to run the wire up to wherever you place the sensor.

No. You can't assume this. Look at the OEM front bumper and you will see that it sticks out about 2+ inches beyond the grill. The ADD Bolt on is flush with the grill so it is closer to the IC. The aftermarket ICs tend to be pushed right up to the frame horns. I hope this makes sense.

There is a guy in the sales thread trying to sell his CPE as it would not fit behind his ADD pro bolt on bumper >> https://www.fordraptorforum.com/thr...-that-fits-behind-stock-bumper-my-loss.72960/

I am not sure if this guy even tried but there is a lot of guys running the add bolt on and all of them are running the oem IC?

If the ADD bolt on replaces stock, then I imagine a bolt on IC like the mishimoto should also work with the ADD bolt on bumper?

Thanks for clarifying.

But when aftermarket sellers like Mishimoto say their inter cooler fits in place of stock, are they utilizing the extra space in front of the stock cooler via stock bumper?
I guess so.

So the question is, which aftermarket IC works with the ADD pro bolt on bumper?

Anyone know?

Thanks, gents.

And thus this is why I started this thread as I was hoping to have this question answered >>

BTW .. it seems most aftermarket ICs require you to remove the shroud in front of the louvers so yes, aftermarket ICs def push the IC forward into the bumper.

Watch this video and you will see that the installer had to remove the louvers all together >>

so i just checked my bumper with the stock IC, there's only about 1-1.5" of clearance between the stock IC and the ADD bumper, so i would say if the aftermarket IC protrudes out further than the stock IC it will not work.

this is due to the added ground clearance from the ADD bumper, i assume the angle of the skid plate is a lot more aggressive than the stock skid plate.

so more likely the only options are stock IC or relocated IC with this bumper.

Thank you for checking. You mentioned an important item in that the aggressive ground clearance causes the angle of the skid plate to pitch upward and I believe it would hit the bottom of any aftermarket IC.
