That is a good comparison. I have always used Motorcraft filters as they are a great deal - good quality for a decent price. They show Wix (same as the Napa Gold), which is also a good filter. Too bad they didn't show the comparison with a Purolator PureOne....

Yeah I was disappointed that they didn't show the Purolator PureOne as well. I like the Mobil 1 / K&N filters too. They tend to have the highest multi-pass efficiency rating for a 30 micron particle. Of course I don't know that there is any way to compare them without sending off a sample for actual oil analysis. It does give you a good idea of build quality though.

Can someone explain the 2 5/8" measurement on the Motorcraft? Is that the height of the filter itself?
