Guess which filter is new and which one has less than 2,000 miles on it? This is what 180 miles at Texana Ranch does to a stock air filter.

Damn.

My filter is toast as well. In fact, the Roush preformed so badly that i'm going to replace the whole intake with AFE and always use the pre-filter when off road.

You guys have to realize that performance shops have NO IDEA what sort of conditions our trucks will face. Open element filters in off road conditions are MENTAL. Not only the dust/dirt but then there are the water hazards. I have always called open element intakes straws. If your taking your truck off road, do yourself a favor and keep the airbox intact. ESPECIALLY if you have a warranty!? If you hydrolock your dirty engine and the airbox is magically clean they will know something is up...

Yup, mine looked the same. I replaced the stock filter with a reusable K&N reusable filter . Just installed it last night. When I was cleaning all of the mud out of the box, I was shielded surprised that it is open to the fender with little to no protection from what is being kicked up by the tires.
