Thought I should put up a slightly belated build thread to document some things I've done which might be of interest.

In June I picked up my Raptor from Park City Ford in Bridgeport, CT. Thanks to Tony Spencer my salesman for a good deal and Bearclaw for hooking me up.

I got a new 2014 Screw, Tuxedo black, with following: 801A luxury package, moonroof, tailgate step and - yes stripper pole , beadlock wheels, front and rear cameras, Ford tonneau cover and spray in bedliner. Pretty much loaded.

So happy. I had a loaded and lightly modded 4Runner which I was looking to replace. Was also looking at possibly a modded Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, but after driving the Raptor, it was all over.

I did the first few mods on the dealer lot, even before I signed the papers!

Threw on a dbug radiator screen Ford F-150 Raptor 2010-2014





and the Craven Speed stubby antenna The Stubby Antenna



Then a few more small mods, Sun visor warning sticker cover from Home Page in #2469 charcoal black, a pair of 4.75 x 6.25 and single of 3.25 x 5.5, thanks to Bigeffr



and Auto Ventshade 91114 Black Door Sill Protector

Then a few more small mods, put a zip tie on the rear seat release lock for easier access and a screen protector on the Nav HU.

Then a small project, a bed divider made from 2" x 10" wood and covered with black Polymat and with two handles on top

Is the bug shield worth it?

Ok time for a radio. I passed the Technician exam and got my ticket. I wanted something that had good multiband coverage and a remote head, so I got the Yaesu FT-857D http://www.yaesu.com/indexVS.cfm?cm...02&encProdID=8CBB7C4BDBAF40129AD4253A4987523C with the remote head and mic mounted using a Pro-clip on the dash cubbyhole http://www.proclipusa.com/dashboard...9-2014/proclip-angled-mount-854639-12960.cmsv and a few antennas. I've currently got a Comet SBB-2 mounted on rear door driver side.

Is the bug shield worth it?

Yes, not only works fantastic for them summer bugs, but also great for off roading when worried about those stray rocks going thru a radiator. Have to take off for winter/snow use (which reminds me to take mine off here soon)

Then a bunch of various imbecile protection added from Jimmi Jammer Vehicle Security and Theft Prevention Devices I got the Hood Latch guard, the Tailgate Keeper, the door Jimmi Jammers.



Some trail protection from SDHQ, their ABS and Front Vacuum line protector and Rear Frame Reinforcement SDHQ Offroad
