SOCOMech
Famous Raptor
Could it be true?! Is this truck really for sale?! Can't believe it myself but, yes. I'm moving on and would love to see this Raptor go to a good home. This truck is no stranger to off roading be it the dunes or open desert but, I'm also a former Ford tech (but still currently a mechanic) who has done all the work myself and taken very good care of it i.e., oil change and tire rotations every 5k mi., cleaned air filter after every romp, washed and looked over for any concerns. I loved putting the truck through it's paces but I was also very smart and didn't get into anything that it couldn't handle. Alas, on to the specs.......

I have every stock component that came off the truck.....bumpers, skid plate, exhaust manifolds and hardware, intake....all that stuff. It has some expected scratches from off roading but nothing major and could be taken care with a good buffing.....aside from that it looks excellent. One of the wheels has some marks in it from a rock crawling section, something you have to be close to see though. I'm also having the windshield replaced as it is cracked. No clunks, no bangs or squeeks.....an all around clean truck.
Now there is a bit of cool history in this truck. Being one of the first production 6.2's (2nd week), it was the very first 6.2 Raptor to be reviewed by the media. I made the trip to California (with 800mi on the odo.) and met with Mike Levine from Pickuptrucks.com and Sean Holman from FourWheeler magazine. Together, we spent a day running around the desert and even Willow Springs Raceway getting all the info and pics they needed. It was eventually featured on pickuptrucks.com and in FourWheeler magazine (which I have a copy). My luck didn't stop there as it also went on to be the Rigid Ind. project truck where all the lighting kits for Raptors were made from. Through them, I met Jared and the ADD guys and continued the "truck loan" program so that ADD could come up with, mock up, make and test a slew of their products. Needless to say, it's been in plenty of pics from Rigid and ADD on the forums and their websites.
It's been an unbelieveable truck and has never had any of the little concerns like the clunk, noisy shocks or squeeky springs. It's done everything asked of it and with flying colors. KBB and Edmunds put it (in stock form of course) at $43k, there are over $8k in mods....so I'm asking $47k. Truck will be buffed, detailed and a full tank of gas when the lucky new owner receives it. Here's your chance to own a Raptor that has all the goods and is ready to handle any run you want to go on.
Will add lots more pics later.
