They are certified bear proof, the lid has a gasket, and are heavy duty. The sides have 2" and lid has 3" of insulation. The lid latches are the same as used on atv and jeep hoods.

Price on the website does not reflect my pricing. They are still spendy, but I feel that they are worth the money. I have 5 of em.
We have one of the bigger ones and its freakin awesome. It keeps ice SO LONG.
