I decided to take off Wednesday and hit the mountains for a few days of touring around. The weather was perfect, mid-70's, and this part of the country sure is beautiful this time of year.
No wheeling, mud, or stunts (although I did find a little 'bump' on Powderface trail) - just sharing some cool pics.
Forgetmenot Creek
Some mountain on Hwy 93 - I`ve gotten quite adept at taking pictures at 70mph...
Bow Lake - Glaciers in background mountains
Glacier close-up (I had never seen one before)
Another one
Don`t hit the Rocky mountain sheep
Columbia Glacier - apparently the most famous around here. For $50 you can ride in a military style APC around the base of the ice. I tried to save the $50 and use my wheels but they frowned on that...
And last, Douglas Fir Natural Area. Complete with it`s own, unamed, blue lake. Wished I had my kayak with me...
And Powderface Road - a cool 50mph trail that weaves in and around the mountains for about 30 miles.
