Well I took on the install today. I read on here to use a washer between the unit and whatever the OEM unit is called. Well I tried that and it seemed to put the unit into too much strain. So, I used both of the flat washers they provided with the nylon nut. That worked great. I ran the wire to the passenger side of my 2013 SuperCrew up to the grommet that is right below the passenger fuse panel. I used the blue with green stripe and the grey with brown stripe. It locks on the first press of the remote. I tried to find the wires that would allow me to have it to lock on the 2nd press of the remote but couldn't find those wires. Im totally fine with it locking on the first press. Now after having it done it makes me wonder why ALL manufactures dont already have automatic locks. Its not that much more money and as often as tailgates are being stolen I would think anybody would pay for that extra option.

It is actually an option in the menu...
Two step unlock..
This will unlock the driverside on one press and all other doors on second press..

As long as you connected the pop and lock to passenger side wires and enable two step unlock on settings. The tailgate will lock with one press and unlocked with second press..

I have that feature turned on but I just couldn't locate those wires.

I did mine the other day as well. I love it. I have my doors set to open all with one press. the tailgate does the same.

If you hook it up to the correct wires on the passenger side, it should work correctly. Lock once unlock twice. The body control module will control the lock and unlock sequences. I did it differently and ran the wires into the cab through factory wire harness grommet on the drivers side firewall.
