Great weekend, I've got a ton of people to thank and say it was great to meet.

Today's takeaway: there are too many Texas Raptor Run threads! It's hard to keep up, and I have a feeling after everyone gets home, rested, and pictures uploaded this place is going to be a madhouse in a couple of days.

That good, because it has been boring as hell all weekend.

Here are my take-aways:

-Stop to take more pictures - the ranch is gorgeous!!
-Slobbering camels have an other worldly affection for black Raptors from Laredo with drivers named "Sweet Cheeks".
-Take more pictures
-Check your power steering hose clamp on top of the radiator. If it doesn't have the screw / worm type clamp, change it (ask BlackMamba)
-RainX works really well for mud, esp that soupy hole on the back half.
-Greg Foutz is the man and it was really cool for him to come hang out for the weekend with us regular joes. Really enjoyed meeting him and discussing Raptor stuff (esp the XT).
-Take more pictures (I need a co-driver / photog next time...)
-Parade laps are not parade laps.

Ratchet straps are NOT enough to secure loose items in the bed.

I used ratchet straps with the cargo rails that I installed and my cooler, Action Packer (w/ 40lbs of recovery gear) and 4 gas cans didn't budge an inch. Easily the best mod I did getting ready for the run.

Treypal is a total rock star, this was a killer event and I look forward to many more.

Totally agree!!

Got another two takeaways:

1. If you have those cool LED tail lights from Ebay, and you didn't lay silicone around the backup light you now have dust in there.
2. Using an air gun to blow high pressure air into the hole to clear it out is NOT the answer :Jedi: I now have dust throughout the tail light (sigh)

- Pitch camp in the brush (we were lucky and had protection on three sides and we were right next to the clubhouse/pool/shower...this really helped in the thunderstorm Sat night/Sun morning and with the wind in general
- CineSLR is a cool cat
