I have read a couple threads on this and was still little confused as to what wires where. I have my truck setup so push the remote button once all doors unlock, push again and they lock. Most wiring I had to do was to the driver side so knowing what color wires to use on the passenger side did not help. I have read where on the passenger side use blue/green and grey/orange. For me I am in the drivers side rail under the door sill. So I checked over and over to find the exact color combination. On MY 2012 F150 Raptor trim level I found the blue/green and grey/brown to be the right colors. On my lock control I needed 12 volts positive, negative for trigger. One direction it triggers lock reversed polarity unlock. Some newer stuff uses the can bus information to do this. I have a dozen of these left over door lock controls so I just used what i had laying around. It took longest to find the wires as the ones I wanted are on the bottom of the bundle. I like the fact I don’t need to buy the tailgate lock to secure my tailgate from thieves. I can be in my bedroom and hit the remote and it will lock all the doors and tail gate for me.. It is simple to do I used the brackets that came with it and mounted to operate the lock mechanism. I am going to the Raptor Christmas run in December so I will see how it holds up… I included pictures of the wires to try to help…. Thanks for looking…..
So here it is about a year plus since and it still works... Still locks and unlocks with the remote as I tied it in under the door sill....

here, on frf
i took off the cover to my tailgate and could not find an easy way of mounting a newer actuator to it without some sort of modification to the assembly

On mine there was a lock assembly trigger plastic piece that runs out the opposite side and is shaped somewhat like a triangle. I mounted the actuator to move it up down and attached to the mid point it was fairly easy once I got to work. Works everytime and its a great piece of mind knowing my tailgate is not gong to go MIA.....I will stop by the shop so you can look at it and if i think about I will bring an actuator kit....
