    Exhaust? Caliper?

False alarm. 10mph on road in front of dealer noise is still there. Back in the loaner I go… told them to pull the front brakes at a minimum. Everything else is indeed tight.

    Exhaust? Caliper?

Thanks. Hopefully it’s fixed when I pick it up in a bit. If not. Will check that out.

    Exhaust? Caliper?

Thanks. I get it back this afternoon. Still scratching head on rattle in my video being the front driveshaft. Any driveshaft noise I’ve been around 2wd or 4wd has been a clunk. Not speed bump pot hole rattle. Will update accordingly.

    Exhaust? Caliper?

So update Dealership is telling me they sourced the rattle noise in my video above to the front driveshaft…. I’m not buying, but they’ve had the truck for a week now and ordered a new driveshaft. Said it was not CONTROL ARMS OR ENDLINKS. Anyone have a rattle that turned out to be the front...

    Rear seat back drink holder

So my kid slammed the cassette style drink holder in the arm rest. I popped the bezel off and it slides out but no tension or springy action. Any cheap fixes before dropping $75 bucks on the assembly. And how does the damn thing come out? I’ve searched around with no luck aside from the part...

    New phasers = power loss

UPDATE For the next person. Don’t like to leave threads incomplete. Went to local shop that I’ve used for years for a flat tire. Started talking performance, phasers, etc with new guy that was a ford tech for years 20+. Said I need to make sure and do a throttle reset BEFORE KAM reset not...

    Exhaust? Caliper?

Good point!!! Another reason to go tool shopping. Ex wife borrowed my tool chest and hasn’t returned it…

    Exhaust? Caliper?

used channel locks. Flexed from pull/push vs real movement. If that makes sense. Couple of roads and I’m reminded of the noise. Other than that silent to me.

    Exhaust? Caliper?

Happens in 2wd or any of the 4s, brake depressed or not I’ve got this rattle… notable on sharp bumps, wash board roads, etc. banged all around undercarriage with a rubber mallet. Has slowly gotten worse which would rule out rattle clips, right? Dealer said they couldn’t duplicate. Video is...

    New phasers = power loss

Meant to update. Kept it for another week. They inadvertently figured out front end slight grown and rattle. Check valve iwe.

    New phasers = power loss

Update. Tracked down previous owner via registration left in glovebox at dealer… said he never tuned it. Dealership said they did flash the computer. Which might explain lack of responsiveness from a stop. I dunno told them to keep it and do 60k and service tranny.

    New phasers = power loss

All stock. Got in there with stethoscope and mirror all over. Based on diagrams, I think I’m seeing it all probably not. Dropping at deal tomorrow evening and will let them sort it out. Thank you.

    New phasers = power loss

Thanks, popped the hood with service writer at pick up to do a look over - and each morning since. Waiting on Mishimoto piping order for rad/turbos. Noticed lower rad - after T to water pump - slightly flat. Pssst when I unscrewed degas cap. cap failed pressure test last night, so grabbed one...

    New phasers = power loss

Yes, pulls same if not better. Could’ve had a tune at purchase. Bought at ford dealer gold certified - if that matters. Maybe they didnt clear out the gremlins before stamping and selling? Noticeable difference is off the line. Echoing turbo lag when I put an oversized turbo on my Cummins...

    New phasers = power loss

Truck gauges. During test drive I scrolled though videoing gauges. Did same on 5 hrs drive back after purchase for benchmark data. Did the same after phasers. Data is similar if not same. They did replace water pump as it had a slight weep and tstat during phasers. Gonna give it a couple...

    New phasers = power loss

    1. Yup, thought for sure I wasting time. It works. If the janky repair bugs you - you’ll feel better buying fancy hose clamps. I did. 2. Proven member or not - the reply had an ick of posting something just to be relevant. Only empirical data that convinced me was when I left the car wash...

What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

RIGHT! I did use fancy hose clamps though.

    New phasers = power loss

So I unplugged overnight… connected battery this morning. Had a funky idle. Ran through the gears easy a few times. More responsive. Longer crank from remote than before. Idle def relearning after 5 cycles today. Surprise, auto higbeam came out of nowhere - figured roads I travel had too...

    New phasers = power loss

Exactly. On ramps and interstate truck pulls probably better than before. The xlt eco boost loaner I had was quicker from a stop. Or traction control. I didn’t have to feather the throttle leaving the car wash today… prephaser it would break the tires with minimal pedal. I assume they would...
