Update on this, finally got in and pulled the buttons out and pulled down the headliner, everything checked out. re-assembled and still not working.
Ended up opening all the way and it actually closed a little after hitting the end stop. Looked it up and found these motors have a calibration...
It opens no problem, and has no attempt to close at all. No binding and no crud in the track, had a buddy hold the button down and the mirror doesn't even hum or vibrate. Opens smoothly though.
Oh I forgot to ask y'all. I opened my sun roof on the first outing and half way open I thought, better make sure it closes. Well it doesn't and I got a burnt forehead outta it.
Was able to drop the headliner and manually close it with an alien key on the motor. Odd thing is it's not binding...
I keep waiting to hear about a Ford lightning raptor, they're just so damn heavy with the batteries. I charge at home on a 240v 50amp line and never have range issues.
Only rubbed once when going over a 2 foot boulder on a trail, thought I was going to lose the fender for a second but it held on. I'll check for any labeling on the springs or collar, see if there's evidence of a lift
Bought it with the 37's, the previous owner had put them on so I'm not sure what all has been done other than looking around. Wheel well plastics removed and front/rear bumpers deleted. Doesn't look like there was any cutting or other modifications to fit them.
Due to where I live I fear I'll mostly be rock crawling where the 37's have already proven themselves. Tempting to drop size and go find some dunes to bash though.
Hey all, just bought a 2010 5.4 to offset my lack of carbon emissions the last 2 years. First up is a good tonneau cover and some tires, any thoughts on staying with the 37's or dropping to 35's?
