I don't have any visual rake. I wonder if rake isn't supposed to be there and the shocks need to be recalibrated. I've only known new coils or spacers to change ride height but maybe our trucks can?
Thanks for all the help and stories. My GF said she doesn't even notice it, and she's sitting right next to it but I hear it every time. Temperature def causes it to be louder. Really hot and very cold days its the worst.
Does anyone have any instructions or video of how the trim pieces come...
I have some rattles that are high-pitched coming from the dash in front of the passenger seat, specifically by the 110v outlet and the swing-open storage door. and the dash cushion on top. The dealer tried to fix it but made it worse now. I also have a knocking/thumping sound coming from either...
Buying out of state was super easy. I highly recommend it before they make it illegal in this dumb state by New Scum. All trucks are 50 state as stated above. Throw a dart on a map of the US and it will most likely have a cheaper price than CA.
This is untrue of modern window tinting. That was true of the crappy film they used in the 90’s. Getting my sunroof tinted was a necessity. Now I can actually have the shade open and enjoy it on sunny days without getting sunburnt or raising the temperature inside the truck substantially. I did...
I didn’t want the sag that a top would cause plus the cost of a top. I went with the Diamondback since I needed the locking security. I’ve been very happy with it.
Even if that's the case, a high-quality AGM battery would have no problem keeping up with your driving patterns. Can you post a pic of the newer style battery?
After my experiences with my Gen 3 battery and reading all of these posts, once I hit my 3/36 I am buying a new aftermarket battery. Coming from the crappy electronics of Jeep, I’ve seen weird stuff happen to vehicles when the battery isn’t strong enough.
My buddy in Carlsbad just purchased one over the phone and did not have to do an inspection. In addition, get a quote from the cheaper plan and make your local dealer match it. They usually will. They want to sell the product and collect the warranty $$
I think it’s one of the shocks solenoids. Next time you hear it pull over and listen by the shocks. I heard this exact noise once on my rears. After starting and shutting off it went away.
I would also just disconnect the battery, unplug the solenoids and plug them back in. One could be loose...
Anthony,
Buy the 72-hour subscription to the actual dealership repair website. I just did and did screen captures of all the items for fluids and specs.

Where in NY are you? I grew up on Long Island and went to college in upstate NY...
I see that I could have answered my own question on this. For me, when it comes to keeping my 150k warranty, I will be buying the fluid from the dealer. If you go to Ford Parts online you can get the non-rip-off prices and pick them up at your dealer. Just did this with the coolant for $18.
Cool to see the device they use to measure that. All American automanufactures seem to not care about putting the correct amount of paint on any of their vehicles including Ford and their $80k truck.
Does the Gen 3 have a 9.75 Inch Ring Gear? Its interesting that the actual Ford repair manual says to use a fluid suction gun to remove old fluid. They don't even say to remove the cover completely. I guess you could use a Top Sider type device and then you wouldn't have to pull the cover.
Yea I would believe that. That's how it was in my old Jeep JKU. We used to take the amplifier out of the Dodge Nitro and put them in the jeeps. It was a better amp, OE fit with just 4 bolts. It made the stock speakers come to life.
subscribed to this for sure. I also want to play a lossless track on my phone to test my system. My XM radio sounds cleaner and louder than Spotify but my settings in Spotify are set to high. Kinda stumped on it and was hoping an update would solve it for 2 years now. A ton of people say the...
I'm not a huge fan of Offroad and Baja mode. They seem like they keep the RPM's way to high for extended periods of time. Is it just me? Maybe i'm doing something wrong? My go to is 4WD High, rear locked, Traction Control off.
