2012 Center Console Changes

I just bought a Console Vault for my 2012, but unfortunately, it doesn't fit.

I contacted Console Vault and spoke with one of the owners, Scott, who said that they were not aware of any changes from 2011 to 2012 or between Raptor and non-Raptor flow-through consoles.

Below are pictures of the inside of my 2012 console. Do any of you guys know if the non-Raptor F150's have a different console than ours with the power outlet and small kick-out section at the front?

That's different. My 2012 (delivered early Dec) doesn't have that kickout next to the power... I wonder if they have started changing that piece to get ready for something to come on the 2013 models. When did you get your 2012?

Well isn't that interesting? Mine was built March 15. I wonder if they had a mid production year change.

my 2012 (delivered 3/5/12) doesn't have that kickout either! looks like you can open that up! open it already! open it! tell us whats hidden in there.

Doh! I was planning on a console vault when my Raptor gets here. Nice catch.

Yeah thats what I was thinking... I sure could see ford putting another sync panel in there for usb connections, etc to be hidden (and if they do that it might make for an easy mod for you down the road).

I could be wrong but don't the newer Mustangs have usb connections inside the center console?

My 2012 with a 12/11 build date does not have the rectangular portion next the the power receptacle. That really sucks for Console Vault, time to design a new one...
