The suspension bed cage has looks and is funtional but the tires seems to be too much. You have to be in a bad luck to get 2 flats same day.

The whole idea is if you get one flat, and use up one of your spares, you have another to continue on playing with. If you only have one spare and you get a flat, it's time to go home.

The odds of two flats at the same time are lower, but it's not an impossibility.

Also, you ever had to crawl under your truck for your spare when your in mud? Or your out in the desert and there's sharp shit everywhere... It sucks. you have to dig the spare out. Plus on uneven ground, its one less you have to worry about (as far as safety is concerned) , climbing under your truck that is.

Yep, I'd much rather pull one out of the bed than out from under it. I've had to get mine out from under and it wasn't terrible, but that was under ideal conditions. I'm still looking at wanting to get my hands on one of yours by the way. It might be after the first of the year before I can swing something though.

Outlaw Raptor bed rack systems

Here is the bed rack we do. We tried to cover all the necessary item needed when off road. We also made our rack with a quick release pull pin system so it does not become a permanent fixture in the bed. It works with 35" tall tires or 37".

The standard bed rack comes with:
1) 5 gallon gas tank,
(1) 8 gallon Action Packer Tote (that are held down by our custom made Y-strap),
(2) 2” Custom made spare tire ratchet straps.
(1) 1” Custom made “Y” ratchet strap.
(1) Fire Extinguisher with quick release mount,
(1) Craftsman jack quick release pull pin mount. “ Mount Only”

Here is the web link for the rack.

Love the set up with the rack and pinion but I would hate to have to change one on the trail

Lol. :893karatesmiley-thu But when you are 500 miles from BFE. I'll change the dam motor if needed. Here is my philosophy going long distance off road is like going to war. Bring it all, use it if you have to and come home safe... O yea if we forget it well then we probably don't need it. :secret:

Working your ass off to get home is better than waiting two days for a tow and spending $$$$$$$ for the bill. Good philosophy

You Fab Guys will probably laugh, but I built this with a chop saw, grinder and a Lincoln 180 in a day. I needed something that would keep my gear organized and I still wanted to be able to put my quad in the back. I made it so nothing is wider than the inside of the wheel wells and I took up as much room as I could and still leave the rear tires of my bike on the open tail gate. I also wanted to be able to close the bed cover. I plan on putting in a rail tie down system to strap down 1 spare and 2 AO coolers. The BBQ is in there from the last lake trip and it will also fit.

From the driver's side rear going clockwise I have a RotoPax mount that currently has a 3 gallon gas jug but if i go on a Raptor Run their will be the 2, 2 gallon water jugs their. I keep the gas jug in the rear handy for filling the lawn mower.

The red Mastercraft tool bag has a few extra shackels, MRE's, disposable ponchos and space blankets, fire starter, things like that.

30' 3" tow strap with shackel

Power Tank with a cool little bag I found from Thule. It hold the coiled air hose and it is long enough to fill all my tires with out taking the tank out and the tank is just barely upright enough not to bleed out liquid unless it is just filled.

SnapON jumpstarter, it is a little bigger than the Jump n Carry in my wifes car, but it has a on and off switch that keep the leads from being energized in case it does get loose and flies around in the bed.

Not in the pic but just in front of the white water jugs my SnapOn 18V impact in a Mastercraft impact bag that hold a set of my stock lug nuts and a battery.

4-3 gallon RotoPax jugs will fit in the location that currently has 2-2 gallon water jugs (white) and one 3 gallon jug.

Hard to see in the pic, but the olive drab bag is a GI trauma kit that I add a few extras to. quick clot, surgery kit, snake bite kit, glow sticks and OTC drugs.

Under the trauma kit is a place for a BD big CO2 air jack.(on wish list) To save space i do not want a big floor jack. If i do a RR I may put one in.

Mastercraft bag has a bunch of larger tools like a pipe wrench, cresent wrench, pry bar ect.

Mastercraft bag closest to the tail gate has a impact socket set as well as a small socket set with a few pliers and screwdrivers.

Under that is a Halgard fire extinguisher

and on the back is a Shure fire LED flash light held on with grip fists.

I plan on putting in a survival shovel and tool and adding a snatch strap and after looking at one of the racks that has been posted previously I need some oil and antifreeze storage as well that will go in with the spare tire and coolers.
Once I have used the set up I might try to get a professional fabricator to make it out of tubing so I don't look so lame. If I had a pro build it I think I would have the Mastercraft bags mounted at a 45 degree angle to look cooler and keep them a little father away from my tires when I load my quad. Any ideas would be appreciated.
