King Shocks has bolt-on kits for the front and rear of your Raptor. The stock, factory shocks are an internal bypass design, which means there is a smaller internal cylinder inside the shock body. Consequently, the actual piston/bore diameter is 2.5 inches. The King shocks are 3.0 inch monotube designs. King’s larger diameter pistons give substantially greater damping force than the stock shocks.

The front coilover has a gas charged remote reservoir with floating piston that allows the fluid to expand during hard use without cavitation, (foaming) and provides significant outside surface area for convection cooling of the fluid. Its Wide Range Compression Adjuster allows 20 precise clicks of adjustment from very soft to very firm with a simple twist of the billet knob.

The rear shock is a 3.0-inch monotube, externally adjustable, triple bypass shock with remote “piggyback” reservoir. The triple bypass shock allows position sensitive damping adjustment for two stages of compression and one of rebound as well as internal valving adjustment just like the front.

The race-inspired design of the Kings allows you to take them apart with simple hand tools. You can change the valving if needed to compensate for a winch or heavy bumpers and when the seals begin to wear, you can rebuild the shocks to factory fresh condition. Chances are your Kings will outlast the life of your truck.

This kit is the same one that won the Dakar Rally this year on an almost stock Raptor driven by Darren Skilton and Sue Mead. The total suspension upgrades to the Raptor were bolt-on King shocks and Deaver springs. King’s bolt-on Raptor shocks are a major upgrade in durability and performance.
