Wheel spacers?

I am really interested and planning on getting some wheel spacers. 1.5" so I dont have to worry about changing or cutting the current wheel studs. I love the look of the tires sticking out past the fenders a bit. GjMcmanus truck looks awesome to me. I took some pics of my tires pulled out 1.5 inches to get an idea of what it looks like. Pics make it look completely different than in person.

Theres a benefit to spacers. they come off when I am going to do some hard off roading.

What would the benefit be? I am surprise at 0 offset that the Methods don't stick out more, doesn't look a lot more then stock, could be the picture angle though.

The do stick out just a touch past the fenders. Biggest reason is looks. It looks awesome in person. Where I live there aren't many times I go off road. Either Texas or the sand dunes.
