2010 SVT Raptor Air Filter Check and Replace 5.4L

Thanks! Has anyone else noticed that besides being thinner now, both the Ford and the Purolator no longer come in a plastic bag? The air filters originally seemed to be coated with some kind of oil but I don't think they are any more.

It is hard to see in the photo, but after an outing in some dust/sand and mud over a weekend I got back home and beat my filter to find A LOT of sand that was stuck up in-between the fins. I would have never guessed from that one weekend of off-roading so much could have been stuck in there. Just goes to show the filters should be checked more often. FFS

Last night a 3rd one got bumped and they all pretty much say the same thing with all the same part numbers.

Ask the mod/admin to combine them into one. Very easy to do. FFS

It's a reference to a reference to a reference...just a triple check on part numbers.
