How do you go about getting the transmission up to temperature in order to get the proper reading?

I've been following this thread ,I like the idea of having a drain plug, that'll be one of my next mods, what method are you using for making sure that you have refilled the transmission to the proper level? TIA

I don't recall exactly how it was listed, I'm going back, probably close to two years, I do know that when I changed the TCM setting in the accessport, the shift was not so aggressive

There are 2 different TCM modes in the accessport, I switched out of sport to normal mode ( don't remember exactly how it is labeled) and that made a nice difference
