    Pickle Indeed

Not sure what to think about that post! You know they are supercharged from the factory, right? Swapping the supercharger to a larger/more effecient design is not a big deal. Turn nuts/bolts, remove old, install new, turn nuts/bolts. The tuning is the difficult part on the new vehicles...

Battery issue, Charging issue or BMS issue?

Again- I'd try unplugging the BMS sensor and see how it goes for a while. There are no downsides other than auto start stop might not work.

    2024 Raptor shock corrosion.

You gotta time it right if you want a vehicle made in Detroit to not arrive "salted." May to October is good. I've seen Raptors getting blasted by heavy salt spray on the car haulers heading south on I75 *many* times. If they were my shocks, I'd mask, sand, re-mask to fix nicks from sanding...

    Ram RHO

Ram will always be a very good value compared to an F150, new or used. Ford trucks command a premium price, new or used, as their trucks have proven themselves to be better over the last 50 years than the trucks made by anyone else.

Got it back from the dyno now the battery dies.....

It's a common problem on the 09-14s as noted. The rear glass shattering from using defrost is problematic, as is the 3rd brake light seal leaking. The satellite receiver seal on the roof can leak too. Rear doors also have issues with the wiring breaking where it goes from the body to the door.

The Gen 1 itch has returned

It's the fenders. Gen 2 and 3 are essentially flat sided. You can't do the pointy aggro styling thing and have curves in your fenders- that would clash. They get the extra width by being wider right at the top, then there is a squared body line where the fender drops nearly straight down...

Got it back from the dyno now the battery dies.....

6.2L engines do not have the battery management system. You can hook right to the battery with your charger. There are no special ways to charge or times you have to wait. Mine sits a lot as it's not a daily driver- I keep mine on a bettery Tender Jr. It works fine. I like the Jr. models...

    Ram RHO

It's an inline 6. They are inherently tough compared to any V configuration engine- or a even worse, a boxer type engine. There's a reason big rigs run a huge I6 engine. A forged roating assembly gasoline I6 can run 600 HP easy with turbos boosting it. Ultimate power is a matter of being...

    Chance to purchase a Gen1

Any mechanical fixes are easy. Unless it's in the dash, which is never any fun. I assume the body is pristine rust wise since you are in the desert? How is the paint and rubber? If they've not turned to dust go for it.

    Leather Console Lid Upgrade

I bought a blue stitched leather cover on Ebay and did it myself since you can't get the blue stitching with an OEM cover. I glued 1" thick high density foam on first. It's way nicer than OEM to use as an arm rest. Covered the foam with a layer of a muslin/batting to let the leather slide...

6.2 intermittent valve train ticking noise at start up ??????????????

If it's 2 seconds at startup, leave it be. 6.2s go 350k miles on the regular with no internal engine work.

    auto stop start install

Does Forscan not work with the newer trucks? It's just a simple toggle in the software.

    Gen 4 500hp dark horse V8

Same thing was preached for years before Ford brought back the V8.

    Ram RHO

Your engine sounds like a human ripping a giant fart. Clear enough to understand now? You can't reason it away.

Whipple 3.8L Supercharger Upgrade - Pics inside

The truck is already setup for a blower. All you are doing is swapping the charger, belt, T/B and the fuel rails, plus flashing the new tune. You'll need 2 guys to handle the supercharger though.

Window spots only where wipers wipe?

I've had a bunch of issues with new Ford vehicles and their windshields. Two most recent - one had a weird crinkle look pattern that must have been in the plastic laminate layer. It looked like the dash reflecting in the glass, but the dash was not that pattern at all. Another recent one had...

    Extended Engine Cranking when starting

The Raptor R engine is not a DI engine.

    Water heater

The capacity of tankless is controlled by the size of your gas line. If you don't have a big natural gas feed, you might not like tankless. Propane has more BTUs per Cu.ft. than natural gas and it's generally easier to upsize the feed.

    Break in & robbery

The border should be closed entirely until they get their shit together down there. We don't need cheap car parts from their factories that bad.

35 vs 37 Fuel economy different?

All of this back and forth on MPGs is pointless. I'd bet nobody is hand calculcating and avergeing their MPG for every single fill-up. I'd suspect most are posting their "hero" tank. All highway driving, perfect weather, etc... Speaking of weather- a vehicle in, say South Carolina, will get...

2019 - Final Gut Check Before Fixing Broken Rear Shocks

Again, it's SUPER obvious when shocks are worn out when there is a 100+ lb tire and wheel package at each corner. The "system" you refer to is a spring and a damper- there's nothing else involved. Maybe you can't tell when the shocks no longer dampen the springs by simply driving the vehicle...

2019 - Final Gut Check Before Fixing Broken Rear Shocks

I said if they aren't leaking AND they are still damping the spring- they are fine. There is no magic mileage number when they are worn out. I know shocks can wear internally and not leak. I've pulled off plenty of non-leaking shocks that were done. If they are leaking though- it's a clear...
