[QUOTE="GooseTuned, post: 1967862, member: 28733"] As the leaders in Gen 3 Raptor tuning, stock turbos and bigger turbos (2021-2022 only), I get asked at least twice a day about the new SPD Alpha Catted Downpipes. "Do they help with performance?" The short answer is yes, in certain cases. Why do I say that? If you look at the first chart, this is a STOCK TRUCK, STOCK TUNE 91oct (very strong baseline)! Below 4500RPM the stock downpipes make more HP and more TQ. However, above 4500rpm the SPD downpipes make 15HP more at redline. The second chart shows a TUNED truck; comparing the SPD downpipes against stock. Below 5000rpm the truck makes a little bit more HP and TQ, but above 5000rpm the truck picks up 20whp with the SPD downpipes. Here's the thing: if you’re looking for peak power gains, you won’t see much, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. When racing or driving aggressively the truck will shift and end up around 4700rpm in the next gear, in the thick of the powerband, where the SPD downpipes shine! The SPD downpipe truck will end up being the faster truck, especially when tuned. If you're looking for a stoplight to stoplight truck, the stock downpipes make slightly more torque, and may do better for very short races. Anything that requires 3rd, 4th, 5th gear will pull away from the stock downpipe truck. If you guys have any other questions please feel free to ask! We have also tested these downpipes on our 620whp Gen 3. They work very well and can definitely make more power once bigger turbos are available!
