There's a rubber dome (the nipple we speak of) that you can cut into if you can reach it. If that doesn't work, try pulling the bottom of the grommet out (you don't need to pull the entire grommet out, but no harm if you do). That should provide enough of an opening to push your wire thru...
The large Firewall Grommets... (1) either cut the nipple with a box-cutter (in an x or + pattern) or (2) to keep from cutting you can pull the bottom of the grommet out, route the wire on the bottom of the rubber, and then push the grommet back into the firewall. I had to do the last option on...
So 5-star caused my Raptor to lose its virginity and popped its diode. I'm telling the dealer I tried to say no! :hump::rofl:
Seriously, as far as the key cycles... well who's to say what kind of program you were using? If you just modified the factory tune because you're running 37" tires...
That turbo v6 will never have the potential as a supercharged 6.2. If you like the '17, great...but if it retains the anticipated v6, then it'll always be a 2nd place truck.
I used Quick Muffler in Franklin on some other vehicles...if I needed extensive work done on my Raptor exhaust, that's who I'd use. Not a big shop and they keep their attention on 1 vehicle at a time.
Their hours on Saturday are 8-noon.

My Methods do the same thing. If it bothered me, I would probably put a few rubber foot pads in the groove to disrupt the centrifugal force.
I'd go with something as tall as the lip and less "round", but this will give you the idea...basically water speed bumps.
When I was on Method NV's and 35's...
Back roads (40-55), I could get 20 mpg with my 5-star tune and using throttle management - I'd lift off the pedal slightly and slowly bleed off a little speed on any uphills. I'd keep it in M6 and wouldn't get under 35 (or it down-shifts to 5th). During...
The VooDoo engine would have been the answer.
Physics tell us that a v6 3.xL ecoboost is incapable of out performing a V8 5.x or 6.x supercharged engine...fear not the power of displacement! ;)
And don't get me wrong, the v6 ecoboost has its place and is a good OPTION in the overall Ford product lineup. It really is a great engine for what it is. But it just does not belong in the Raptor or GT models.
I think Al Gore has convinced Ford that V8s are bad...and as disappointing as the Raptor news is, the GT getting a v6 is the biggest let down of all. I applaud the "efficiency" efforts, that's great, but make your flagship performance vehicles with an efficient V8 platform the company has been...
Thanks be to the 707HP Dodge Hellcat, reports are that 770HP V10 engines are in the works for the next model Viper. If Dodge ever builds another Viper truck...or even better, a Viper Ram Runner package...well now, I wouldn't want to pull up beside that with a ecoboost emblem on my door lol
All things equal...forced induction...a supercharged 6.2 is going to beat the hell out of any (v6) ecoboost on the road today, 2017, 3017, and beyond lol
'17 raptor with all its v6 glory, will fit in nicely with the next Fast & Furious movie... although the red Gen 2 Lightning shop truck in the original would still beat the hell out of it...1/4 mile at a time LOL
I really hope the v6 450hp crap is just Ford's smoke and mirrors to relax the competition, and the REAL production harbors a V8 forced-induction 500hp platform, capable of an additional 100-200hp by bolt-on mods.
Otherwise, Whipple that 6.2 to get your ~700hp and call it a day.
